A very economical way to experience one of the most popular cities in Tuscany, Pisa, known for its iconic Leaning Tower. Once your cruise ship docks in La Spezia, you will need to take the free shuttle from the pier to the cruise terminal hub. Your guides will be waiting there and then get you onboard your air-conditioned coach for a short 50-minute drive to Pisa. While on board you will enjoy free Wi-Fi, assistance in English and Italian, and receive a free map of Pisa for your own personal use.

Pisa is located in Italy's Tuscany region and is best known for its iconic Leaning Tower, however, the town of Pisa has much more to offer with more than 20 historic churches, medieval palaces, and incredible scenery along the Arno river. You might also want to grab a bite at one of the many restaurants, cafes, and bars. Your guide can give suggestions based on their favorite spots.
If you choose the guided walk with transportation option, your guide would show you the most iconic places of the famous Piazza dei Miracoli known as the Plaza or Square of Miracles. You'll be able to see the Tower of Pisa, which had already begun tilting when it was completed in 1372. The tower is 183+ feet (56-meter) white-marble cylinder and was designed as the bell tower of the striped-marble Cathedral that sits next to it. Also in the plaza is the Baptistry, whose renowned acoustics are demonstrated by amateur singers daily, and the Caposanto Monumentale cemetery. After a short walk, you will have free time to relax in the shadow of the Tower and admire all the beautiful surroundings.
When your visit time comes to an end, you will meet the bus at the appointed spot and time to board your comfortable transportation for the return back to the meeting point where you can continue exploring at your own if time allows or take the free shuttle back to your La Spezia cruise terminal.
