Begin your adventure shore excursion when you meet your ATV and snorkel shore excursion guide at your cruise ship port in Cozumel. Hop aboard your air-conditioned vehicle and you will be guided to the ATV shore excursion camp approximately a 15-20 minute drive. Please consider you will be driving a car following the guide to the ATV camp.
Upon arrival, you'll be matched with your 4X4 semi-automatic Honda 250 All-Terrain Vehicle for a fun ATV excursion in the jungle. Guests have the option to order as a single rider to be on the ATV alone or as double riding with one person driving and the other as a passenger. Please see the pricing options. The minimum age to drive is 16 years old, underage guests must present a valid permit, and all drivers ages 18 and older must have a valid driver's license. You will receive your safety helmet and your guide will provide brief safety and driving instructions (Bandanas and goggles are available at extra charge) and then you're off onto some thrilling Cozumel jungle trails while following your ATV shore excursion guide.
Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and be prepared to get dirty or muddy, but that's half the fun. The ATV shore excursion guide will lead you through the canopy-covered jungle trails until you arrive at Jade Cavern, an ancient coral cave. Here you'll discover the Jade Cenote (a freshwater jungle sinkhole), a naturally fed body of fresh water, and depending on the conditions, you can take a dip (with a life vest) in the refreshing waters like the ancient Mayans did long ago. Marvel at the fantastic stalactites and relish in the refreshing waters.
After hopping back into your ATV and returning to El Cedral, you will have a brief tequila tour of the village and learn the history and process of Tequila making. You will have the opportunity to taste a few of the many flavors available. Then it's off to Playa Uvas Beach Club. Please note that your guide will provide you with a vehicle and guide you to Playa Uvas Beach Club, you will be the one driving.
You are welcome to use all the facilities at Playa Uvas Beach Club. The beach club facilities are premium with a freshwater swimming pool, beautiful garden, beach, pool lounge chairs, umbrellas, and showers. Your guide will be waiting for you to take you on your snorkel adventure. All snorkel gear is included along with instructions. The crystal clear turquoise blue water is home to a variety of colorful tropical fish, coral, and sponges. The rocky outcrops and shallow reefs make for amazing snorkeling! There are multiple departure times for the guided snorkel - set up your time when you arrive at Uvas.
You will be treated to a delicious Mexican-style lunch, where you can choose from Chicken Fajitas, Beef Fajitas, Chicken Quesadillas, Beef Quesadillas, Chicken Tacos, or Beef Tacos.
At the end of your adventurous Cozumel shore excursion day, you will be taken back to your meeting point near your cruise port. However, if you wish to linger and extend your experience, you are welcome to remain at the beach club and return to your Cozumel cruise port at your own expense.
SPECIAL NOTE: Please note there is an extra fee of USD 12.00 for the Jade Cavern entrance fee, this is paid in cash onsite to your local guide.
