    For the Roatan ATV Off-Road Adventure and Monkey Sloth Hangout Excursion, you will meet outside your Roatan cruise terminal (Coxen Hole and Port of Roatan Mahogany Bay), please consider it is a 5-10 minutes walk. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

    Excursion Notes
      • Bring along comfortable clothing, change of clothing, closed-toe shoes, sunglasses, bug spray, cash for tips, souvenirs, snacks, etc.
      • Observer only includes a round trip and interaction with the animals. It does not include ATV rides. 
      • The ATV can hold one adult and 1 child.
    Excursion Restrictions
    • The minimum participation age is 8 years old.
    • Participants under the age of 16 must ride as a passenger behind an adult driving.
    • The minimum age for driving an ATV is 16 years old however a parent or guardian must accompany the minor as a paying participant.
    • All drivers must present a valid driver's license.
    • All guests must sign a waiver before participation.
    • Helmets must be worn at all times.
    • This excursion may be bumpy in parts and not suitable for guests with limited mobility. This Roatan ATV Off-Road Adventure, Monkey, and Sloth Hangout Excursion are not suitable for pregnant guests.
    • For the ATV 2 adults can't ride together.
    • The maximum weight per ATV is 350 pounds.

    Even experienced riders must stay behind the guide. No fish tailing, donuts or speeding is allowed at any time during this Roatan ATV Off-Road Adventure, Monkey and Sloth Hangout Excursion.
    I have never driven an ATV before so would this be a good excursion in Roatan for me?
    These ATVs are automatic so there is no shifting needed. The Roatan excursion guides will instruct guests how to ride them and all guests will have a practice driving test before the actual excursion. Steering is like that of a bicycle but does require some arm strength. This excursion is suited for most participants including those with little or no prior experience.
    Are restrooms available on this shore excursion?
    Restrooms are available at the Sloth Hangout and the base camp.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Roatan ATV Off-Road Adventure, Monkey and Sloth Hangout Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Roatan ATV Off-Road Adventure, Monkey and Sloth Hangout Excursion,we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if:

    • You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
    • Your ship misses/skips the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
    • Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.

Had a great time! The ATVs were a blast even with the sprinkles of rain we had, when thru a couple of cool villages and were learned about, stopped for pictures a couple of places. Monkey's and sloths were neat and would have liked to spend a little more time there. But the winner of the day was the company and our driver! I lost my phone at one time, after calling the company the driver came all the way back to the port so we could search the vehicle and even took me back to the restaurant where we had lunch and then back to the port, again thank you for going above and beyond and while we did not find the phone in those spots, it was found and turned in to the cruise line so I did not loose my pictures!

Our family of 12 had such a great time on the atv/monkey sloth sanctuary adventure. We were lucky enough to have a rainy day for the atvs and it was a fun muddy experience! Kembron picked us up in town and took us to the atvs and then on to the sanctuary. The sanctuary was fun, we held a sloth and monkeys and birds were all over us and on our heads. Awesome experience and Kembron was so polite, personable and informative on the history and culture of the region. Definitely would recommend!

My family and I did this ATV/sloth & monkey excursion this past Wednesday and had Adolph as our guide, and we loved it so much. He was so informative of the island’s history and current status, and made us feel welcomed and in great hands. We got to ride ATVs around the island to see what local life looked like, and then he took us to the sloth and monkey encounter, which was also really fun. We’d definitely recommend this tour to friends and family. We were on a Carnival cruise and Adolph picked us up/dropped us off from the port and made sure we were on time for the ship’s departure. At first we were very frustrated because we had to walk quite a bit until we found the team member . BUT after our ATV adventure boy we’re we all smiles ! We went through an authentic , adventurous scenic route of the village on the coast . our guide stopped for pictures and all I could say is YOU SHOULD DO THIS ! We went to the sloth and monkey encounter after and it was simply SUPER awesome! We got to get in the cages with the moneys and birds and of course hold a 🦥 Sloth!! Totally recommend ! We asked Our guide to stop at a store so we could buy drinks/snacks.

This was a fun excursion, the only issue was i wish it was mor in the jungle than around on city streets. They didnt have any drinks or snacks to get, we did get something from the street vendors with some fruit. Our driver was awesome and was very entertaining. he knew some good places to eat and have some more fun after the excursion. I would recommend this excursion but dont plan on much jungle tour or getting muddy. It was good knowledge of the locals, and the way of living there.

This is our first time in Roatan and we are SO happy that we chose this excursion. We first met Nicole while waiting for the van and she was very sweet and was able to answer all of our questions. Kempton arrived with the van shortly after and was very nice as well and explained what we were going to be doing. Along the drive to the first excursion Kembron told us information about the areas and places we were driving by. Our first stop was the atv ride and it was AMAZING! We got right off the bus and right onto the ATV's after meeting the two guides (I forgot their names but, possibly Samuel?) They were great and very friendly. The trail was fun and we went at a speed that was enjoyable. They let us stop for pictures and to buy souvenirs. After our atv experience we got back on the air conditioned van and drove to the monkey & Sloth Hangout. This was so fun. Our guide his was a young man who was very friendly and informative. The sloths are adorable and the monkeys were so fun! We chose to go back to the ship after this excursion was over but, Kempton and Nicole were willing to go other places. We had plenty of time afterwards to explore the free beach and get lunch before heading back to the ship. I cannot say enough good things about the people we met today and the excursion itself.

The directions to find our shuttle were slightly confusing but we were able to ask for help and find our way. Once on board the van our guide was friendly, safe and knowledgeable. Upon arrival our ATV's were waiting for us. We were given brief instructions and took off. The path was extremely fun and scenic. We drove through a small local community, along the coast line, and through the woods. It was a gorgeous area and the locals waved and smiled. Warning - you will get muddy! (we loved it). Then we went to the Monkey and sloth sanctuary. It was incredible. Our guide answered all of our questions and was so knowledgeable about the animals. The sloths were adorable and so gentle. My heart melted. I highly recommend this. The monkey's were cute and FULL of personalities! We all had enough time to hold them, look around, and enjoy the time. This was by far the BEST excursion of our entire cruise.

We did this activity as part of our Sky Princess Cruise which docked at Roatan on 12/13/21. You first walk outside the port following the path past the taxis and past the checkpoint, this is where Adolf our guide/driver was waiting for us. Since it was a small group of us he drove us around the island in a 4 door sedan. Adolf was very knowledgeable of the island's history and the current on-goings. First stop was the Sloth Hangout where Patrick took us around. This was one of the highlights of our trip since we got to interact and hold sloths, monkeys and parrots! Second stop was the ATV Adventure with Manuel who showed us a wonderful time along shorelines, villages and into the jungle. We took other ATV Adventures at other ports, but this was by far the best ATV Adventure out of our entire cruise. After the ATV Adventure Adolf was waiting for us and dropped us back off at the port with ample time to look around the shops. I highly recommend this activity with Roatan Henry Tours! You will have a wonderful experience with amazing guides who will take care of you.

Four wheeling was fun and we also got to walk thru a small village and experience their culture. The monkey and sloth sanctuary was interesting and there were other native animals there as well. It was a great time!

We had JEFF!! He was absolutely amazing he literally made everything happen for us !! He Went the extra mile for us on every request we had! He even made us feel safe and welcomed!! honestly it was just two females traveling alone is very nerve wrenching! But as soon as we got introduced to JEFF it was perfect!! He made us feel like we were at home but on vacation !! We had a food at a local restaurant!! Soo good !!!!!!! Below is myself enjoy local beer and fried fish!! One of the best atv excursions i have ever been on hands down. And if you are lucky like me to be the only one with the guide then you better strap in because you will have a ball!!! I got to see a lot of the island and get a first person view is the culture which is big for me when traveling

Our guide Harley with the yellow Van was awesome! Not only did we get done on time but we had a good lunch at a local spot he recommended. Everything was great! This adventure was soo much fun I highly recommend it if your an adventurous person!

Thank you for an excellent excursion! Our first-time cruise and shore excursion and everything were perfect. We loved the ATV adventure but definitely, the best part for us was the Monkeys and Sloths. My boyfriend loves sloths and just to be able to see his face holding one was worth it! You made our trip!
