    For the Roatan Discover Befinner SCUBA Diving Excursion with Boat Dive, you will meet right outside your Roatan cruise terminal (Coxen Hole and Port of Roatan Mahogany Bay). All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.


    What is included?

    Excursion Notes
      • Please bring along a swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, sun protection, camera, and cash for refreshments, snacks, lunch, souvenirs, tips, etc.
      • Please download and print the following PADI Discover Scuba® Diving Participant Statement (PDF document) and complete it before participating in this Roatan Discover Befinner SCUBA Diving Excursion with Boat Dive. It is required that you bring this completed form and any other required notes or paperwork.
      • Please pay attention to the restrictions and requirements for this Roatan dive excursion, no refund will be granted if the requirements are not met.
      • 15% Honduran sales tax and Roatan Marine Park not included - USD 5.00 per snorkeler or diver.
    Excursion Restrictions
    • Divers must be at least 10 years old. Any diver under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
    • Divers should be in general good health, certain medical conditions such as heart conditions, a current cold or sinus congestion, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, or a severe medical problem, could prevent you from participating (see Diving Medical Questionnaire).
    • You will be required to complete this health questionnaire before your dive. If taking medication consult your doctor before participating in this dive shore excursion in Roatan.
    • Anyone who appears to be under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or any other chemical which is deemed by the instructor to affect their ability to dive, will be denied.
    • This Roatan beginner diving shore excursion is for cruise guests only.
    • This Roatan Discover Beginner SCUBA Diving Excursion with Boat Dive may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.

    Of course! We offer the rider option so they can wait for the divers to return while enjoying the resort facilities.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Roatan Discover Beginner SCUBA Diving Excursion with Boat Dive to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Roatan Discover Beginner SCUBA Diving Excursion with Boat Dive,we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if:

    • You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
    • Your ship misses/skips the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
    • Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

This is a must do! If you have ever thought of giving scuba a try, Discover scuba was amazing! Only negative was we ended up wasting over an hour to go back to the cruise port, waiting on some late arrivals to finish.

This was our first dive ever. Our dive instructor was great and answered all questions and concerns. Out dive master was wonderful and kept checking to make sure we were calm and doing ok. We saw tons of colorful fish and beautiful coral. I would definitely recommend this excursion for anyone wanting to learn to dive.

This was my favorite excursion by far. I have tried scuba diving before and completely freaked out. This instructor was super patient and gave very good instruction. Our family of 4 had an instructor all to ourselves. The reef was beautiful! We got a 30 min dive up to 40 feet. The rest of the time we relaxed on a beautiful beach.

We were short on time because we were waiting for another cruise ship to get in before we left the port area, so that was unfortunate to lose time like that, but when we got to the place where we were going to dive, they made sure we would still have a lot of time in the water. The expert diver was amazing. He walked us through it and while on the dive, he pointed out various fish and coral. Overall a great experience and the reef was beautiful.

We went in mid December, had a GREAT time! A little bit of a ride from the cruise port, but not a bad journey at all. The instructors were great, very friendly, went at a great learning pace and answered all of our questions! The reef was beautiful and there were so so many fish that we go to see up close! The only con I have is more of the other people on the excursion rather than the excursion itself. The rest of the group arrived a bit late and had not filled out any paperwork ahead of time so in waiting for them- we lost any after scuba beach time we would have had, which was really a shame because the beach resort area was beautiful.

What a fantastic introduction to Scuba diving!! We are a family of 5 ranging from 10 to 49 years old, and this was absolutely the highlight of our vacation!! My wife is a certified diver but this was the first time scuba diving for the rest of us (ages 10, 20, 21, and 49). Arturo and Darrel were absolutely amazing instructors, and were very informative and attentive. They made sure we all were comfortable with one step before we moved to the next, and took extra time as needed with whoever needed it. I was apprehensive having a 10 year old with no experience at all but both of the divemasters were watching him very closely throughout and he never had any trouble. One of my daughters had to surface for a few minutes and Darrel took her to the top and got her settled and then rejoined us. We never felt any pressure to do anything we weren't prepared to do and were absolutely thrilled with the service we got. The driver was easy to find when we got off our cruise boat (he called me by name when I approached) and they were prepared to take us back to the port as soon as we were ready after diving. This was our first experience with Shore Excursioneer and it was a great one. Will not hesitate to use them again.

At first, I was scared, but the Dive Instructor made it soo easy to understand and practice that I felt confidence when it was time to do it for real at open ocean. It was a magic experience, been able to see the underwater word and all the marine life. I´m glad, I booked this excursion.
