    There is a gift shop at both the Maui Tropical Plantation and the Maui Ocean Center that can be visited during free time. Depending on what time your ship departs, you should have time for shopping in Kahului after the excursion.

    You will not see molten lava on this excursion. The valley you will be visiting lies between two dormant volcanoes and is sitting on top of old lava.
    Will there be restrooms?
    Restrooms are located at all three stops. At the park, they are very basic.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Kahului Best of Maui Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation
    Cancellations up to 24 hours prior to excursion are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 24 hours prior to excursion are not refundable.

    For the Kahului Best of Maui Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

I loved this excursion from the start to the end. It was super easy to find our guide with the instructions provided on our tickets; we arrived like 5 minutes late but they were waiting for us (totally my fault, I was window shopping on the way, my bad). The bus was not super crowded which made it more personalized and comfortable. This was just a nice, all-around sightseeing tour.

Such a fun an interesting experience, it is the perfect excursion to take if you are not into extreme activities!! Our guide, Tito, took us to all the famous locations in Maui, thanks to him we did learn a lot about Hawaii and it's culture. The mountains were so green. We had no idea coconut oil is used for cooking!!
