Challenge yourself in a different way when you stop at the cruise port in Nassau. You'll need to use your mind for problem-solving when you join us for the Blackbeard Escape Room Excursion. No athletic skills necessary.
When you exit the cruise terminal you'll walk about 1/2 kilometer or 1/3 mile to the escape room. This is a 6 to 8-minute stroll. The game is open to everyone over the age of 10 and there are no special skills needed to have a great time. The escape challenge is for groups from 2 to 8 players and lasts 60 minutes while you solve puzzles to make your escape from the room. Please arrive 15 minutes in advance of your scheduled start time.
You'll step into the room and back in time to 1718 when the Governor of Nassau, Woodes Rogers, is hunting pirates. The notorious pirate, Blackbeard has been in hiding and has evaded capture. You'll received a note from him asking for your help in escaping capture by Rogers. But your plan has been leaked and you have 60 minutes to find a way out of the room for yourselves and Blackbeard as the army is on the way to find you. You'll need to find and solve various clues, figure out puzzles and work together to find the key to the exit. Teamwork is essential.
This is a fun way to spend some time on shore as a couple, family or with friends. It's a challenge for experienced escape room gamers and new participants alike. There's a game master to help if you get stuck or on the wrong path. But no worries...there is no danger, it is all pretend in the name of fun! Think of it as a combination of adult version of hide and seek mixed with the board game CLUE! Your group will either find the key to unlock the door so you can "escape" or Governor Rogers' pirate hunters will "capture" you.
When your group's time has been completed, you are free to head back to the ship or browse town on your own. You might want to take advantage of the Pirates of Nassau Museum right next door (admission paid at the door) or wander the famous Straw Market as you pass on way to pier.
