    For this Ketchikan Off-Road Buggy Rainforest Family Adventure Excursion, you will meet your local excursion guide right in the Ketchikan cruise pier area. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.


    What is included?
    • Pickup and drop off right from your cruise ship pier in Ketchikan Alaska

    Excursion Notes
      • The ride in the buggy can be bumpy based on weather conditions. Guests with neck, back, or hip ailments and pregnant women should not participate in this excursion.
      • Guests must be able to step up into/out of the buggy.
      • Restroom facilities are available at the campsite and are basic.
      • Guests in groups smaller than 4, who want their own buggy, must purchase the additional seats in the vehicle at the adult price.
      • Please pay attention to the restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if the requirements are not met.
      • We recommend wearing layers with the top layer being waterproof.
      • Please wear sensible walking/hiking shoes that may get wet.
      • We suggest you have cash on hand for refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.
    Excursion Restrictions
    • The minimum participation age is 2 years old. Guests must weigh a minimum of 40lbs (18Kg) to be buckled into the seatbelt. Maximum weight is 350lbs (158Kg).
    • The minimum driving age is 25 years old and must present a valid driver's license or other proof of age.
    • Driver must be able to hear and understand English.
    • Maximum of 4 guests per buggy and all eligible guests will have a chance to drive. Parties under three will share a buggy.
    • The excursion route may change due to weather variations.
    • As the ride can become bumpy, this excursion is not recommended for guests with any neck, back, or spine issues, or who are pregnant.

    Cancellation

    For the Ketchikan Silent Off Road Buggy Rainforest Family Adventure Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 48 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

This is definitely, the best way to see Alaska. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, my family loved him. The excursion was fun, interesting, bumpy, exciting and we learned a lot about the wildlife, we respect it now even more :) The vehicles are just too cool.

Perfect choice for my family. Our vehicle was like an Atv but better and alot more safe. The crew was waiting for us and they made sure that along the way we saw different creatures, plants, bugs and we felt in real Alaskan forest. We also had campfire and children loved it. I totally recommend this excursion.

Interactive excursion that allows you to admire the rain forest from the comfort of the buggies. It was incredible! You smell, feel and sense nature surrounding you. There's no need to rush and go full speed but to simply admire. Since they are electric we had no issues hearing our guide Sarah (who by the way was the best!) I would love to come out here and camp out the whole day!

My husband and I took our children (8 and 11 years old) for this excursion because Shore Excursioneer recommended it for families, so glad we followed their advice, this excursion is WONDERFUL!!! The four of us got to ride our own buggy, my husband and I took turns since our children are not old enough to drive. Alaska rainforest is something totally worth visiting, I thought that everything was ice and glaciers up there, haha... The big highlight of this tour was the campfire, we ate some delicious s'mores while learning about the lake nearby. We are all looking forward to returning to Alaska for more amazing adventures! Thank you all!
