Rent a Buggy and get 4 hours to explore New Providence Island on your own schedule. Whether you spend that time driving around to see historical sites such as Fort Fincastle, Queen's Staircase and Fort Charlotte or more modern sites such as the Straw Market or John Watlings Distillery; it's up to you! You can also use your time to beach hop, just cruise the island's coastline stopping at any beach you wish.
You will meet the representative outside of your cruise terminal upon your ships' arrival in Nassau. You will receive a thorough safety briefing by the experienced and certified rental agents about the buggy. There is room for a driver and up to five passengers. So the whole family or group of friends can ride together in one vehicle. The buggy is automatic; you must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver's license to operate the buggy.
Drive around Nassau and stop at any shop you want to check out! If good shopping is what you are after you will not have to go far. If you like Rum you won't want to miss the opportunity to check out John Watling's Distillery.
If the beach is more your style, you can drive to any of the beautiful beaches Nassau offers. Cable Beach is one of the most popular beaches and has all facilities available, including hotels, snack bars and restaurants.
You can head to Fort Fincastle, which was built atop of Bennet's Hill. At the same site is the Queen's Staircase. If you like history you will not want to miss Fort Charlotte, built in 1788 by Lord Dunmore. Underground passageways, dungeons, 42 cannons and a moat will be encountered here!
When you are all done exploring in your Buggy return to the rental agency, they will help you return to the cruise terminal.
