See three of the most popular sightseeing locations in the French Riviera - Cannes, St. Paul de Vence, and Antibes all in this full day on this sightseeing cruise shore excursion from Monte Carlo, Monaco!

After meeting your driver/guide at your Monte Carlo cruise pier, you will depart Monte Carlo in your exclusive shore excursion group of no more than eight guests. The charming medieval hill town of St. Paul de Vence located 40 minutes away is your first stop.

Believed to be occupied since the 10th century AD, its location between Provence and the seaside made it an important market town and desired location by local nobility. For the next 800 years, it had its share of plundering and destruction at the hand of numerous conquerors, as did most villages of the time. With each new conqueror came larger, higher or thicker walls. In the 1920s, the richness and intensity of the light, colors, and scenery attracted artists, including Signac, Picasso, and Matisse. The film world discovered the village in the 1950s as both a filming location and a hideaway. By the 1980s, their secret was out. You will have approximately 60 minutes to wander this intriguing maze of pedestrian streets, courtyards and squares dotted with artist's shops and cafes.

Departing the hills, it is approximately a 30-minute sightseeing drive to the coast and the popular old town of Antibes. The area was settled sometime in the 5th century BC by the Phoenicians. Situated on a rock with water on two sides, it was easy to defend this perch. Your shore excursion guide will drive you along the ancient walls giving you some of the histories of the town. You will also see the scenic harbor full of mega luxury yachts and boats are known as Billionaire's Quay. If time and traffic allow, a stop will be made for photos.

It's a short 20-minute drive to Cannes, where a drive along La Croisette is a must. This main street separates the sea, with its swanky beach clubs and restaurants, from the gleaming white Belle Epoque buildings housing chic boutiques, cafes, and world-famous hotels such as the InterContinental Carlton Cannes, where a real-life prince met his princess.

There will be a photo stop made outside of the Palais des Festivals building, home each May to the Cannes Film Festival. Stand on the same steps as the famous stars do each year! You will then join the motorway for your 40-minute drive back to Monte Carlo and your cruise ship pier.

Restrooms are located at each stop. In Europe, a small package of tissues is suggested as public restrooms may or may not have toilet paper. Most public restrooms require a small fee. Having a few local coins is highly recommended as they do not always make changes.

Shopping can be done during your free time in St Paul. Items include art, crafts, Provencal wears and souvenirs. Depending on your ship's departure time, you should have time in the afternoon after your excursion for shopping in Monte Carlo.

Enjoyable and very informative, great tour guide. We loved our free time in St. Paul de Vence! But the highlights were sites and photos we got to take around Cannes and Monte Carlo. Amazing! Would not hesitate to do this one again, it was really good.

Mi family and I spent a wonderful time! Both driver and tour guide were unbelievable friendly and knowledgeable, they were able to answer all of our questions. We got to see all of the sites the cruise ship excursion offered but without the bus-filled crowds. Ours was so personalized even though it was not a private excursion. Getting to see Cannes and the steps we have seen on TV for the film festival was the highlight for my teenaged daughter. My husband and I enjoyed St. Paul de Vence and the views! We had an absolutely great time with ya'all. Worth every penny.
