A great way for you to start the day is by relaxing on a comfortable, roomy catamaran with the sails unfurled. With a limited amount of passengers, there are sure to be spots for either sun or shade side as you head off to snorkel in the warm Caribbean waters. Rinse off in a freshwater shower and then enjoy complimentary cold drinks as you relax after snorkeling. See the beauty that is Key West both above, and below the water.

Begin this quiet adventure just a few blocks from your cruise ship pier. You'll be checked in and then welcomed aboard the Marquesa, a 69 ft. (21.03 meter) catamaran that has comfortable facilities, a freshwater shower, and lots of room to spread out. Once you are settled onboard, the captain will head out from the famous Historic Seaport and soon the crew will unfurl the sails for an authentic sailing experience. Imagine the quiet of gliding across the waters with the ocean breezes keeping you cool.

The experienced captain will choose the snorkel location based on the water and wind conditions so that you can have the best experience possible. Once you are nearing the reef, the crew will give you a safety briefing and hand out the sanitized snorkel gear. They will also let you know a little about what to expect regarding the marine life you'll see. For beginners, a crew member will happily go over instructions on how to use the gear.

Then into the warm waters, you go and follow the guide. Marvel at the teeming marine life with colorful tropical fish, coral, sponges, and so much more. You can even take a peek at the fish identification card on board before you go in and see how many fish you can identify. This is a quiet world that's just filled with beauty. Finished snorkeling a bit early? Then float on the surface with noodles and catch some sun.

The Marquesa offers a "stairway to the sea", which makes getting back on board a breeze. Wash off the saltwater in the freshwater showers and then pick a spot for that perfect relaxation. You can enjoy complimentary drinks that include cold beer, wine, soft drinks, and filtered water. If you'd like something a little stronger, there is a cash bar where you can purchase your favorite cocktail.

As your catamaran sails back to the dock, be sure to keep an eye out for a pod of dolphins frequently seen in the area. Maybe a sea turtle will drift by, or frigate birds can be seen riding the currents in the sky. Once back at the dock, it is a short walk back to your Key West cruise ship pier.
