First I will say that ALL the people we dealt with were great! But- this excursion was not what I expected. The 2 small cenotes were not like we had expected. Not as pretty as this picture. And the smell. Oh it was like nothing I had ever smelt before. Seriously- not how I was to spend my vacation. And the bugs were biting very badly too. The beach part was nice but probably would’ve just preferred to be there all day.

This was our first time visiting the port and had heard about this sinkholes in Progreso. First time getting to know a cenote. My fiance and I ended up really impressed with this natural sinkholes and mother nature. The people here are very lucky enough to have these places. The water is cold, clear and fresh (locals said it is "sweet"), not as salty as the beach. We were a little undecided to take a dip, but we saw a lot of children having fun and decided to jump on the cenote. Too bad we had only one hour to spend here and they said we have to follow the excursion itinerary and took us to a beach location:(

Took this tour with our family of 6 and we all had a great time at the cenote. The ride took about 25 minutes from the port to get to the reserve area. The water from the cenotes is very fresh and our children didn't think twice to launch into the water. This was a really good naturalist place and spotted a lot of wild creatures such as raccoons, tropical birds, iguanas, etc. We hope we could stay longer in this place than rather taken to the beach. Unfortunately, we had to follow the tour itinerary and they took us to a beach location, which was good enough to relax and to have cold drinks.

Such an amazing experience to be sorrounded by so much nature, cenotes, racoons and much more! The park is a perfect place to enjoy with the family, and the kids especially enjoyed it. Would have loved to stay longer but we had other stops in our itinerary. We then headed back to town and enjoyed a brief drive through the pier where there are restaurants, shops, and miles and miles of sandy beach. At the end, the beach break at Silcer was really appreciated! Cold drinks to enjoy a sunny day.

This is a great excursion. Aaron was our guide and he was terrific! They met us right outside of the port stores and we started our excursion right away. The cenotes were nice and cool and all of the staff were polite and informative. The shopping was great and we never felt rushed or worried.

No body else offered an excursion like this. Sightseeing was interesting, lots of nature to admire. To swim in the cenote was very nice and relaxing. We learned alot about the area and had fun. The guide showed us a place to buy some local food that was delicious so do not be afraid to try new things! The cenote water was so cool and clear. We went in January but it was in the mid 80's outside so the water felt great. The best part was that there were not hardly any people. Thank you for such a good time!
