My family and I did this excursion...it was a SCUBA first for all five of us. Our guide was very informative and made us feel more comfortable. I struggled at first when in the water, but he took time to help me through my panic and literally held my hand while we were diving and kept checking to make sure I was okay. The rest of my family swam like fish and did really well. We plan on doing this same excursion again this summer. 10/10 recommend.

My adult boys went diving off the shore with them and loved it! Three had never dived before and one had once before, but the dive master had good instructions and provided them with a great experience. They went all around the reef, saw plenty of fish and then wound up at some caves. They even got to go in a couple. The pictures and video that were taken as they dove were available on a flash drive to purchase after the dive. They were affordable and really great photos. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and would probably do it again if in Cozumel.

We booked this excursion to try out scuba diving with our family of four (including 16 and 13 year old kids). This was less expensive than having booked an entry and scuba package through Chankanaab for the same excursion. Our guide was great! He was funny, informative and made sure we felt comfortable and safe the whole time. We all agreed this was the best excursion of our trip and want to do it again in the future!

Shallow shore dive but fun! Kemmerer, Wy

MJ's Dive shop was good to work with and had PADI certified Dive Masters that were helpful and professional. The dive is only a 25 foot deep average dive but there is a lot of fish to see. The currents were very strong making it a harder dive on the day I was there and Enrique decided it was too risky to try and do the cave while fighting the current. I appreciated his knowledge and ability to keep us safe while still having a good experience. This is my second dive with (them) and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Great Shallow Dive full of life

They have a simple shore dive right off of their property. You walk off the beach and into the sea. It is a shallow dive so there is extended dive time and no need for a safety stop. Super clear water with very abundant and brightly colored aquatic residents. I actually got surrounded and there is some free-diving kid on earth somewhere with a good GoPro image. Did see a lobster. As the dive facilities are part of the larger Chankanaab park...I have my own dive gear so dragging through the park and across the beach was not the nicest thing but whatever. With that said, they have freshwater bins to soak gear like you expect and lockers. This particular dive also allowed non-certified divers and safety briefing was probably the best version I have heard - even though they would take said novice divers into a cave. On an unrelated note. I have been to Chankanaab Park for a wedding reception and Mayan Cultural thing so it was a nice reminder. Experienced diver for a leisurely dive? - Great. New diver curious about diving this would also be a good experience.

The guide was friendly and gave good instructions. He showed us marine life and made sure everyone was safe and comfortable. You don’t need to be certified for the dive. After we were done we had snorkel gear to do our own thing. Lockers, beach chairs, umbrella and clean restrooms with showers also included. Food and drinks were extra.

We've been coming down to Cozumel and Costa Maya many times just because of the diving. This time we were on board Carnival Triumph and just looking to have a relaxing day at the beach and some snorkel but we found this excursion online. We couldn't let it go... underwater statues and a cave? since all gear was included we didn't think about twice and booked it... NO REGRETS! if you are a certified diver arriving in Cozumel by Cruise ship this is a great option, you also get to enjoy all of the facilities and even the time to have a few drinks afterwards.
