    Excursion Restrictions
    • The minimum participation age is 5 years old. 
    • The minimum age for snorkeling is 8 years old.
    • All underage children must be accompanied by an adult, guardian, or parent.
    • People under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or similar substances that may prevent safe enjoyment, are not allowed to participate.
    • Guests wishing to snorkel or swim must be able to pull themselves from the water using the boat ladder.

    Cancellation

    For the Roatan City Highlights, Monkey and Sloths, Snorkel, and Beach Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

I’d done my research prior to booking this excursion , and I am so happy we did it ! It was extremely affordable ! I had a party of 6, and this excursion exceeded my expectations! Instructions pretty clear , and accurate . We were picked up by our driver Artman from Mahogany Bay port in Roatan . He was nice , friendly , kind , helpful , and informative . He kept us in the loop about everything that we could expect during our stay. Our first stop was a visit to see monkeys and sloths at Manawakie Park , the tour was amazing. We were given a brief summary of the life of sloths and monkeys and then given an opportunity to interact and take pictures with them . We then left to our second stop , the chocolate factory , in which we were taught the process of making chocolate. It was pretty neat and interesting . Our group chose to skip the rum tour , and then went to our third stop , snorkeling ! Roatan has the bluest clearest , cleanest water I’d ever seen in my life ! The snorkeling guide was amazing ! He ensured our safety at all times . And best of all , he made sure each one of us was comfortable and enjoyed every second of snorkeling . After snorkeling , we stopped at a restaurant and the food was delicious, however , it was just a bit high in price in my opinion . After lunch , we headed to the beach right in front of the restaurant and relaxed there for the remainder of the time . Our driver , Artman , made the experience phenomenal ! I would book with him as my driver and guide again and again ! Thank you for making the experience at Roatan awesome !

We had the best time this morning with Leonard showing us around Roatan. He knew our goal was to hold the sloths and made sure we got a guide at the animal park who gave us that chance without feeling rushed. We ended up being the only ones in the car and Leonard was very accommodating with how we wanted to spend the time. He was very personable and helpful.

We had the absolute best time on this excursion. We had a family of 6 ranging in ages of 10-50 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We had amazing guides for all of our adventures. Jason accompanied us to all of them and made sure we had all the amazing opportunities to meet the locals and take lots of pictures. Snorkeling was our favorite part, the fish were amazing and our guide Kevin was a dream to have. This excursion included the best of everything!

We had an awesome time doing this excursion. Having a cuddle with Charlie the sloth was the highlight for me. Instruction on where to meet was clear and once you get out of the gate the people of Roatan was very helpful. Our guide Christian was very helpful and took great care in driving us around. I highly recommend for people to book this excursion or any excursions from this site. It’s totally legit and will saving you some big bucks rather than from the cruise.

The monkey and sloth hangout was awesome. The grounds perhaps needs some cleaning and updating, but otherwise no complaints. It had rained when we first made it to the islands which made the water a bit dark and sent all the sea life into hiding, so the snorkeling wasn't great due to mother nature. Certainly can't fault the tour operator for the weather of course. While the sea life was lacking, the reef was really impressive. Huge reefs with lots of dips and holes/caves and such. We did not end up going to the beach considering the weather. The monkey and sloth hangout was worth the money we paid alone.

The guide, Sexy Chocolate, was absolutely wonderful. He was friendly and seeming beloved by everybody on the island. The excursion was small and intimate and he catered it too our liking. It was an excursion that we will remember for the rest of our lives. We truly had a blast zip lining, playing with sloths, eating lobster, snorkeling, and sampling rum cake. We can’t wait to return.

Our guide, Jason is wonderful! Friendly, fun and very accomodating. I will always ask for Jason from now on whenever I visit Mahogany Bay. I won't go with anyone else. Be sure to ask for him. There is no one better. My only regret is that I forgot to take a picture of him.

Our guide, Jason was AMAZING! He was so friendly and fun. He took us all through the city for a more close-up view of how people live in Roatan and there was no question he wouldn't answer. I've been to Mahogany Bay several times and this was by far the best trip. From now on I won't go with anyone except Jason!

We had a tour of the island, visited a monkey and sloth facility (held both and took photos with them!), and then went snorkeling. Excellent snorkeling adventure with numerous variety of fish and coral. I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide Allan was excellent!

This was a great excursion! We were able to get a private van for just the two of us the entire time. After a ride through the city we were taken to the monkey and sloth hangout and spent around an hour there. After that we got a surprise and got to visit the chocolate factory. Unfortunately it was raining so we opted to not do the snorkeling but our driver drove us around where ever we wanted to go. I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Roatan.

Where do I begin....this excursion far exceeded my expectations!! First we were picked up by Hayman and he was our private guide for the entire day. He picked us in a Ford Explorer and were escorted by him the entire day just the four of us not a huge group of people. He drove us around to the best places to take pictures. Next we went to the sloth and monkey hangout which was a once in a lifetime experience. He waited the entire time for us to continue the tour. Next he brought us to a beach where everything was included...lounge chairs umbrella etc. next he arranged for a boat to take us out where we snorkeled the most beautiful reef we have ever experienced. We snorkled for over 2 hours... it was wonderful!! After we were done we enjoyed a couple beers and had some appetizers which were fantastic! All in all we spent 7 hours with Hayman all the while telling us about the island. Do not hesitate to book this excursion and ask for Hayman as your guide...you won’t be disappointed!!

We had Jason as our tour guide, he was very friendly and willing to take us wherever we wanted to go. He had a bunch of good recommendations as well. This is the perfect guide and company to get a great sample of Roatan if all you have is a day to spend. Great food choice, great experience overall.The only thing I would say was on the downside was the meeting point, in Roatan it’s very chaotic. For anyone going I highly recommend you read your papers/info. Jason had the presence of mind to park clear away from the chaos as he knew its not desirable, can’t stress enough how good of a guide he was.

Overall summary of my tour in Roatan. It has been a couple of months so from what I remember my tour guide's name was Michael or Mark. I have a terrible memory but as soon as I saw him I knew my dad and I were in good hands. It started with walking no more than 3-5 minutes down a small hill too meet a line a of tour guides, for the amount of people it was very organized and we saw the sign immediately so that was very easy! It was just my dad and I and that day we ended up having the mini van to ourselves with the tour guide. I felt that I really got to see all of the island through the drive. The tour guide took us to multiple shops since we did not get to do shopping but the first one we went to was definitely the most expensive, then we just told the guide to take us to cheaper places and he did with no problem. I really liked that he was very calm, was always smiling, and we DID NOT FEEL RUSHED AT ALL. It was so nice to experience that after having a very rushed tour the day before with another company. He had some surprise places and it made us feel special like he was part of the family also on the trip. The stop at the animal hangout was a little different because another person guided us through it. The animals were in big cages and the other person that worked there was really trying to get the animals to interact which I did not like. I told the person that they are animals and they will interact when they feel like they can connect. Observing them alone was more than enough enjoyment for me but I did get interaction. The sloth and I really connected and it felt so wonderful they are so peaceful and loving animals, I think the sloth really filled my heart until this day. We snorkeled and had a lot of space and freedom to do so. The guys were with us the whole time and we felt very protected. The only thing my dad did not like was that he felt that the guide was whispering in his language to friends he would see while driving but I did not take it that way. I did not get to swim the beach so much because it was not clear but that is nature. The beach area was kind of small but there were shops, food, and everything was near by. Every one we interacted with throughout the whole tour had a great spirit and provided the best service. We did not once have to worry about time because the guide was very responsible I really do believe the tour guide plays a big part of the experience and I feel so blessed I had a great guide. I would definitely encourage this tour for those who want to have a good time and take it easy.
