Good tour, great views Florida

Our cruise ship arrived early and they were waiting at the exit of the port. Unfortunately not everyone arrived on time so we waited an extra 20 minutes for the stragglers. We also had 3 different tours on our tour bus and the other 2 tours were dropped off along the way. Be aware we were required to pay cash and could use a charge card. We drove to the top of Mt. Isabel and rode the cable car down to save time waiting in line. The stop at Fort San Felipe was only 10-15 minutes and Independence Plaza was about 20 minutes. Although they advertise an open bar there was only rum punch and bottled water; no local beer or sodas. The clouds cleared and we had amazing views from Mt. Isabel. This tour is a great way to see the island in a short time.

Alex was our guide and we squeezed in a National park, monument, cable car, beach and shopping. He and the driver (Perfecto) were worth the short walk outside the port to meet them. I like the smaller tours. There is no way a bus would ever make it up that mountain.

This is a small & nice cruise port, people are very friendly. We took the city sightseeing and cable car ride. The cable car ride was both thrilling and amazing with wonderful views and beautiful gardens. We visited the fort, the statue of Christ and the main plaza. The guide was very knowledgable and friendly offering drinks along our way. When returned aboard the ship I found the exact same excursion offered by the cruise line at a higher price for the same quality of tour. I definitely, will use you for our future trips.

Four of us took this trip and all highly recommend. Milton was a great tour guide and we learned so much about Dominican Republic. I need to add that our driver was also fantastic and so professional, he would hurry to get to the door to help everyone out. The cable car was worth the whole experience, but the whole trip was so worth it. Just FYI, the port is Carnival owned so you will have to walk out of the port a little ways to get to the bus. This excursion is for any age, and worth every penny.

The tour was amazing from the start. My tour guide Winston was very knowledge worthy. The passion for his country made the tour exciting. He was always in control with a cool demeanor. Winston knew where to take us and bought us fruit to sample. The best part of the tour was the breath taking cable car ride! The price was worth every dollar. We were lucky to get Victor and "Bas" as our guide and driver. Victor was an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the areas, culture, and all the ins and outs of the tourist traps. He kept everything flowing and was never boring. His presentation was done in English and we had no trouble understanding him. We were offered beverages throughout the tour and were shown extreme hospitality by all employees. The bus was air conditioned, clean, and comfortable. It even had wifi in it. We never felt scared or put in any harms way.

This trip was a wonderful introduction to the Dominican Republic and the city of Puerto Plata. Our top-notch guide and driver provided a running narration for the length of the trip, allowing us to get the most out of our limited time. Views from the top of Mount Isabel were superb, and the ride down the mountain in the cable car was a unique and thrilling experience. Our party learned a lot about local history & culture, and we will definitely travel to the DR again.

Our ship was scheduled to arrive in Dominican Republic and we really wanted to make the best out of our day in port. This was a great option and really fun! We learned the local history and the cable car ride was a bit scary at first but when I realized how safe it was I impressed by the view. Beatiful city. Really enjoyed it.

This excursion was absolutely amazing!! Since the beginning when we met our guide until the very last minute. Our guide shared with us lots of information about history and culture, the best part was that he was very dynamic not boring at all.
