Whether your ship is stopping in Miami just for the day or you find yourself in Miami either before a cruise or after your ship has docked and you want to make the most of your vacation? With this excursion, you will have the chance to see the best of Miami from a state-of-the-art executive minibus. Comfortable, air-conditioned, and with large viewing windows, you'll feel like a VIP. Have the chance to see the largest collection of art deco architecture in the world, the famous Miami beaches, the Venetian Causeway, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, and the ever-popular Little Havana. This is an excursion you won't want to miss.
If you are arriving on a cruise ship, your meeting point is just a short taxi ride away and if you are staying in a hotel, your transportation will pick you up there. Your driver/guide will be bilingual (English and Spanish) and will keep you entertained with narratives about the places you will see. There are some sites you will drive by and those you can stop and visit such as Coco Walk, Little Havana, Wynwood, and Bayside Marketplace. This is an incredibly detailed and extensive view of the great city of Miami and, once your time comes to an end, you'll know you've experienced the true city.
First, you'll pass through the Art Deco district. Marvel at the architecture, the most extensive grouping in the world, and check out the colorful locals while you're at it. Miami is known for fashion, ambiance, and diversity and you can see all these together in the Deco District.
Next, you'll drive along the Venetian Causeway where you can get the chance to take a peek at Millionaires Row. You'll hear about the celebrities, both past and present, who live on Star Island. Celebrities such as P Diddy, Rosie O'Donnell, and Shaquille O'Neal are just a few. A fun fact for you is that in 1979 a trial was held that alleged that members of the Ethiopian Zion Coptic Church ran a marijuana smuggling ring in the house that was later purchased by O'Donnell. Scenes from the movie The Specialist were shot there as well.
You'll continue to Coconut Grove where you'll see amazing landscaping, lush vegetation, and marinas filled with yachts. Then you'll take a quick stop at Coco Walk for an outdoor shopping experience. You won't find these goods in too many other places. Then, once your shopping is finished, you'll pass through Coral Gables, known for its wonderful Mediterranean style.
Your next stop is the amazing Little Havana where there always seems to be a street party going on somewhere. You'll hear Cuban music, quite possibly see some locals dancing, and have the chance to purchase a Cuban sandwich while you are there. This is an experience you won't want to miss.
Finally, you've to visit Wynwood, Miami's current hottest art neighborhood and home to the Wynwood Walls. The area is world-famous for its murals. During your stop, you will see incredible street art available for purchase. Watch talented street performers, check out the trendy dive bars, and take a peek at the modern galleries. Yet another experience you won't forget.
There is an opportunity to look around and do some shopping at the Bayside Market Place. When this memorable excursion comes to an end, you'll be brought back to your original meeting place, enjoy!
