      • We suggest you wear comfortable clothes, tennis shoes or sturdy sports sandals with a thick sole are a must, a swimsuit, towel and a change of clothes.

      • No jewelry or unnecessary valuable items, please.
      • Please note that Belize is a cruise ship tender port, you will not be docked so you should allow enough time to get off the ship.

    • This excursion is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or guests with claustrophobia.
    • The minimum participation age is 8 years old and the height restriction of 48 in (121 cm).
    • Parents must supervise their children at all times.
    • There are a lot of slippery surfaces so proper footwear is required.
    • Guests will be walking through the caves that require a lot of bending and stooping down.
    • The amount of cave exploration will depend on the guests and determined by the guide.

    I have never spelunked before. Can I book this excursion?
    Yes, it is beginners friendly excursion. Please consider this excursion requires walking through caves on a slippery surface. Proper footwear is required. There is a lot of stooping and bending while you walk as well.
    Can I wear my prescription glasses during the excursion?
    Yes, we recommend you use a safety strap to secure them on your head.
    How much time is spent spelunking and tubing?
    The time spelunking (exploring the caves on foot) is approximately 1.5 hours. The time tubing is approximately 1 hour.
    Are there any restrooms?
    There are restrooms at the shore excursion base camp.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Belize Crystal Cave Exploration and River Tubing Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Belize Crystal Cave Exploration and River Tubing Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

We had an incredible day with Sharon, our guide, who spent the entire day with my wife and I as the only two participants on the cave tubing excursion that day. She had not guided cave tubing in a while, since as she explained most people prefer to kayak the river these days, and had forgotten to bring a smaller tube on the jungle hike (we did not have to carry our tubes, they were waiting for us, which we appreciated, because it was a fairly long walk which was much more enjoyable as we were unencumbered.) Sharon ended up walking the river and pulling us along almost the whole way, which, she explained, she could do in her sleep after 19 years of guiding people through the caves. The caves are unbelievable. I pictured something small but they were MASSIVE! The highlight for us was when we stopped by the side of the river deep inside the caves and walked around exploring the banks of the entrance to the Crystal Caves (a different excursion which takes almost a full day and ventures much further into the cave system). We swam among the cave fish and Sharon regaled us with all sorts of interesting cave facts and stories. My only disappointment was the caves were too dark to take many pictures, but we will never forget our day of cave tubing and exploring.

I loved every aspect about this trip!! The Rock and Alberto were so passionate about Belize. They took no shortage on giving us the best experience possible. One big note to make, carnival offered the same excursion. We were doing the same trip to the T except our trip was $100 cheaper, carnival guest had to carry their tubes (Alberto went ahead of us and took them down himself) they brought us mangos to snack on (carnival guest were asking us where we got them because they were so good!) and they were rushed! They did not get to stop and actually learn or explore. All I have to say is do not cut yourself short with booking with carnival!! There is no experience like the local experience.

This is such an amazing excursion!! The beautiful walk through the jungle. The gorgeous turquoise river that runs through the caves. The caves themselves were breathtaking! Our tour guide (Fabulous) was the BEST!! So knowledgeable about his country and great sense of humor. I would recommend this excursion to everyone! Thank you for such a great time.

Did this tour from the Carnival Miracle. It was an excellent tour; our guide, Fab was awesome. Everything was just as the website shows- Except for the lunch part!! We asked about it before we started tubing and were told lunch was optional. There is no cell service in the jungle and it wasn't included on our voucher so we thought it must be our mistake. The description on the web site states " You will continue floating along the river for another 10 minutes before exiting the river and walking the short distance to the base camp for lunch." They have a photo of lunch also. They don't have lunch as one of the things included, but the web site would certainly lead you to believe it was. This was the only downside. The tour was just as Fabulous as it looks in the pictures! It sure beat tubing through the caves down river which is what most of the cave tubing tours consist of. All in all ,an excellent tour

My daughter and I went on this excursion December 7 and had a great time. We were treated like VIP. They gave us history of the area as we were driving to the park where the cave is. We didn't have to carry our tubs, as some of the other excursions did, and the explained a lot of the formations and how they were formed in the cave. The lunch afterwards was great. I definitely would do this one again. I especially like Shore Excursionaire to book excursions when on a cruise. I will definitely use them again.

River tubing into the Crystal Cave was a blast. Imagining the Mayan's going into this underground space considered sacred with lit torches and seeing the shapes cast on the walls by the stalagtites and stalagmites onto the cavernous walls. Our guides Nelson and Fab led us expertly down the river, through the caves showing us pottery artifacts, various formations and explained what ceremonies took place there. We were served delicious rice and beans cooked in coconut milk and marinated chicken as we traveled back to the cruise ship. Thank you Shore Excursioneer and Nelson and Fab for a Fabulous day in the Crystal Caves. Note: Wear good water shoes with solid soles.

We were on a Carnival cruise that included a stop in Belize. What a wonderful experience!!! We booked the Belize Crystal Cave Exploration and River Tubing Excursion through ShoreExcursioneer. They picked us up at the port on a bus. The tour guides spoke about Belize and gave us our own bus tour through the city. The ride to the park for the cave tubing took about an hour. We walked to the river and our tubes were waiting for us. We jumped in and each tour guide had six tubes tied together and floated down the river with that number in the group. We all had life jackets so we felt very safe. The cave itself was absolutely beautiful as was the scenery around the river. After the river float, we took our tubes, helmets, and life jackets back to the base. There were restrooms and changing areas located there. Once we were changed, we boarded the bus and they drove us to the owners place for a Belizean lunch. What a wonderful treat! The meal was wonderful! We again loaded the bus and they returned us to the ship. An absolutely wonderful experience! Jenny was our guide and she and her crew were AWESOME! We were there at the beginning of January 2016. We definitely recommend this tour!
