      • The drive from the port to the waterfall is approximately 20 minutes (each way).
      • Please pay attention to the restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if the requirements are not met.

    • The minimum participation age is 14 years old.
    • Closed-toe shoes or sport-type sandals with a backstrap are recommended.

First let me say the staff was very pleasant and very detailed with the instructions. The van was comfortable and they kept us hydrated with water prior to the hike. The hike was very nice as our guide Winston explained the local vegetation and how it was used as medicine/food. The hike wasn't tough or long by any means. The waterfall was beautiful and we got the opportunity to dip in the lake for a while. On the way home we were treated to locale fruit and tasty Rum punch. One of my best excursions ever.

WE BEGAN OUR DAY BY MEETING OUR GUIDE WIN, AND GOT IN OUR COMFY VAN TO THE NATURE RESERVE. THEY WERE 13 PEOPLE IN OUR VAN, UNLIKE OTHER TOURS WE SAW THAT HAD 30+! THROUGH THE SHORT RIDE WE WERE GIVEN INFO AND WHAT TO EXPECT. WHEN WE ARRIVED TO THE PARK, WE WERE GIVEN LIFE JACKETS AND WE FOLLOWED WIN THROUGH A RAIN FOREST PATH, AS HE POINTED OUT SEVERAL FLOWERS, FRUITS TREES AND LET US KNOW HOW SOME OF THE PLANTS HERE WERE USED A LONG TIME AGO FOR HEALING PROPERTIES. IT WAS QUITE A HIKE THAT INVOLVED CROSSING STREAMS AND GETTING A BIT SOAKED BUT THAT WAS FUN. WHEN WE FINALLY ARRIVED TO THE WATERFALL, EVERYONE DIPPED IN! IT WAS A SUNNY DAY SO IT WAS REFRESHING. WE THEN HAD TO HIKE BACK TO THE ORIGINAL POINT WHERE WE HAD DELICIOUS RUM AND WATER FOR THE MINORS. THIS WAS A GREAT WAY TO ENJOY THE NATURAL BEAUTY AND KIND OF UNWIND FROM THE CITY HUSTLE AND BUSTLE.

My boyfriend and I are very active and love being outdoors so we were looking for an adventurous excursion, we contacted Shore Excursioneer via chat for help on deciding, the girl who assisted us was super patient and answered all of our questions. We decided to book this excursion since we were not interested in jumping or climbing the waterfalls, we wanted just to embrace the beauty of nature. Our guide was very knowledgeable in regards to fauna, he knew all the bird's names; we were a little tired after the hiking so we were really looking forward to the swimming portion which was awesome!!! I do think that water has healing properties, my legs were feeling tired because of the hiking but after the refreshing swim I was completely recovered :)! We both think a complimentary snack might be a nice detail, especially after all the activity. If we ever go back to Amber COve, for sure we will do this again.

We booked this one for Charco Grande but we were taken to Damajag Greenville SC

When we were sent the confirmation I noticed that the waterfall was listed under a different name. We just thought that it was a typo as the excursion was still listed under Charco Grande. When we got there we realized that we paid more money for the same tour as the people going to Damajagua to jump down it except we couldnt jump. All of the pictures but one for this tour are of Charco and we were not taken there. We are very dissapointed. I dont know that I will book with shoreexursioneer again in the near future if this bait and switch is what they are going to do.
