    Are taxi costs included in the El Cid La Ceiba Resort Day Pass in Cozumel?
    If you are arriving at either the Puerta Maya pier or the International Cruise Terminal, it is just a 5-minute walk to your left on the street in front of the cruise terminal. If you arrive at Punta Langosta pier, it is only a 5-minute taxi ride - $8.00 USD for up to 4 passengers.
    Do I have to sit through a timeshare presentation as part of this El Cid Resort Day Pass in Cozumel?

    Cancellation

    For the Cozumel El Cid Resort All Inclusive Day Pass,we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if:

    • You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
    • Your ship misses/skips the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
    • Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.

What more could you ask for in location if your at the main port? You literally walk out of the main ports area and go left a bit and check in at the main desk for your wrist bands. Once you check in, your free to grab a chair although the umbrellas are slim pickings and for the price would expect more of them. The food was great as were the drinks and service. The snorkeling here was a welcome surprise with plenty to see under the water.

When my husband and I arrived and went inside to check in we were greeted with a smile. However it was VERY hot inside this beautiful resort! They have no AC in the lobby. We were taken to our table right next to the pool. The pool was very nice and refreshing. The drinks were very good but the food not so much. Our waiter did not come around very often so we got most of our food and drinks ourselves. Needless to say the service was not great. We did meet some very nice people and was able to have a good time chatting with them. There is no sandy beach access which we knew but the one entrance to the water was very rocky. Make sure to wear water shoes. They have an area with hammocks but they were refurbishing it. After about 2 or 3 hours we got bored and left.

We love coming to El Cid and ShoreExcursioneer made it simple and economical to do so. It's an easy ride from the cruise port and once you arrive you're done working and time to enjoy. Literally unlimited drinks and food and it was all good. The pool is clean as is the hot tub and it's beautiful surroundings make the day just perfect. Also changing rooms, bathrooms, a spa, mini beach or just walk down the cement steps and you're in the water. Lovely day! We'll be back.

We walked from the port and it was a safe short walk. You could take a taxi if needed but we have a 3 year old and 4 year old and we walked there with no problem. Once there we were greeted by the friendliest staff. We checked in and got our wristbands we were ready for the resort. You walk out and there was the pool with a small kids pool attached to the larger adult pool. It was a perfect layout. Right next to that you have the beach area with plenty of space and gorgeous views to the crystal clear water. We wanted to snorkel but the water was a little rough that day and didn't get to but that was okay because there was plenty to do. There is a whole other area to get into the beach that isn't really effected by the waves. Next to that is another area with more beach space and another water area with a few hammocks that dip down in the water. Just absolutely peaceful! The staff was friendly and as attentive as they could be. Lots of food options within the meal voucher and plenty of other food to pick from as well. All you can drink with the open bar and they weren't the strongest but you can get as many as you would like so you can get your moneys worth for sure. If you come to Cozumel you won't want to miss this!

We wanted a day of being lazy on a beach and getting the opportunity to snorkel. This was a good experience if that's what you're looking for. If you're wanting a beach to wade in the water this is not what you're wanting. The water was great for snorkeling. We saw many varieties of fish and there were lots of different areas to explore. There were shallow areas and deeper areas, so it was good for all ages. We brought our own equipment, but I do believe there was equipment available on site. We took advantage of the all you can eat food and drinks and had breakfast and lunch. We were pleased with both. There was a pool available, but we did no actually use it as we spent most of our time snorkeling. Overall I would recommend this experience.

We booked this excursion separate from the published Carnival excursions and it was the best time we had all week! Amazing people, good food, excellent service, not crowded in the slightest, and is so close to the pier. This all inclusive is so amazing we are planning another trip this summer. We have been to Cozumel several times and the "usual" beach break locations are getting very crowded and losing some quality. This is a good alternative. Very close to the port and within walking distance for the younger cruisers. When we arrived, we were registered, given wrist bands and a tour of the facilities. We chose our own location and were immediately greeted, given a menu and a drink order taken. From then on all we had to do was look up and someone would come over. Very clean and beautifully maintained. We would definitely recommend this excursion..

First, it’s only a 5 minute (if that) wall from the port to the resort. Once we were there the staff was very friendly. Also...go there with a huge appetite because the food was amazing! Sorry it wouldn’t let me delete the first photo lol.

We enjoyed the fact that we didn't have to hail a cab and just walked a couple of blocks from the cruise terminal. This was a December 1, 2019 cruise, so the gulf water was cool, but not unbearable. My hubby said the pool was colder, so I didn't even bother getting in pool! There is a bathroom with a couple of showers and you can change in there or in a stall. There is plenty of shade where we plopped down on lounge chairs. The waiters were attentive with drink service. If you go to the buffet make sure you put on a coverup/shirt for guys. I had on a very conservative (land's end) women's 1 piece and was told to cover up next time. This might be general etiquette in the eating area, although it was outdoors. I had been to Playa Mia before, but had on a rash guard top and swim shorts. Apparently, it was posted at El Cid, but I didn't see the sign until later. No problem, we would definitely return if traveling sans kids. Kids could come here, but having been to Playa Mia and have seen Mr. Sanchos pictures, I would probably opt out of bringing older kids here because there were no water toys, etc. Small children would probably be fine here, though.

Recently visited Cozumel and we spent our day in El Cid Resort. We really loved having this place at a walking distance from the cruise ship terminal, didn´t have to worry about catching a taxi or missing our ship because we were just one block distance. The resort is small but pretty and well equipped. The beach area is manmade but easy access into the water. The food was pretty darn decent, drinks enough, clean and shaded areas. Thumbs up for this resort.

We have been to Cozumel many time and always do all inclusive resort but first time at El Cid. This place was amazing and will definitely be going back next year. It's so laid-back and relaxing. You are able to come and go as much as you want. Once we checked it I never left but my husband went out and did some shopping. Food and drinks was great and the staff was wonderful. Can't wait until next Nov.

We chose El Cid for it's proximity to the port (right next door). Easy check in although the front desk could have been friendlier. I was also disappointed that we weren't given a tour. We kind of had to figure things out for ourselves (had to hunt down towels, those should be handed to guests when they check in, rest rooms were not real obvious). A basic explanation of where things are should be done when arriving. Once we were settled in our lounge chairs, we had to signal for a waiter to take our drink order. I thought someone should have approached us upon arriving. Pool was very nice and refreshing. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Again, I didn't feel like the waitstaff was super friendly. Food and beverages were good, though. Our day pass included 90 minutes of snorkeling, which you can do right from the resort. Not a whole lot to see there, but the water was beautiful and there were some pretty fish. Overall, I really liked this excursion. Food and beverage quality was very good. Service could have been friendlier and more attentive. The snorkeling was a nice perk, too.

This resort was easy to get to, just exit the cruise terminal and go left about 3-4 blocks. Check in was a breeze, get your all inclusive wristband and WiFi password and you’re set for an awesome day!!! We found a place close to the water with sunshade and just chilled. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, the food and drinks brought to us were great!!! I highly recommend the beef tacos and nachos, both came with the best guacamole I’ve ever had!!! The resort offers 90 minutes free snorkeling rental of their equipment but we brought our own. The snorkeling area was smallish, but was easy to get to and had lots of fish that would come right up to you. There was also a small beach area and a swimming pool. Foot manicure with the fishes, spa,and massage areas were also available but we didn’t try them. Myself and my teenage daughter and son thoroughly enjoyed our day at El CID!!!

Loved loved loved this place. it was so beautiful and the staff done everything possible to make you feel so welcome. It was close enough to walk from the cruise ship and not hard to find. I would love to go back and spend more time here. I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone wanting a relaxing day at a beautiful resort.

We booked a day at El Cid while our cruise ship was docked in Cozumel. After booking we received our tickets via email. As stated print OR download the tickets to the app. So I downloaded to the app. Upon check in the desk clerk asked for the tickets and I showed them to her on the app. She said she could not accept that they need to be printed. For a half an hour both the desk clerk and the Manager would not let us enjoy the property. Finally they said we could email the tickets. So we tried that. Still did not work. A few minutes later another manager came over and said the desk clerk could have just used the confirmation number that was on the app.

We departed the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the sea on Friday and it was truly a 3-5 minute walk to the resort. The picture of how close the ship is in the picture is accurate. We had our printed confirmation so getting checked in and getting our bracelets was a breeze. We were early enough for breakfast which was a limited buffet. You can get French Toast or eggs made to order but YOU have to ask. After breakfast we got two chairs two rows from the beach under a straw hut cover. Service was almost nonexistent. I went to the bar and got drinks myself (no big deal). I found out they have additional food available at no-charge. It is printed on wooden surfboards. Jose came around and we ordered another round of drinks. The day people do not get the premium liquor bottles but drinks were fine. We ordered guacamole and chips along with chicken tacos and they were both delicious. Hint: Get waiter and give a dollar or two when food and drinks are delivered. Service will improve dramatically. They include a 90 minute free rental of complete snorkel gear. Take advantage of it. I saw many beautiful fish just off the beach. Pool, hot tub, and beach are great. Drinks are fine. The best feature for this resort is the ease of access from the ship.

We arrived early enough for both the breakfast and lunch buffets! They were beyond delicious! The snorkling was excellent though it's not really a beach but stairs into the water. The water was so clear and nice we didn't even go in the pool or hot tub. Drinks were excellent also. Can't wait to go back. A short walk from the cruise ship and no taxi!

I am giving this four stars because we would do this again. However, depending on why you are booking this excursion you may be disappointed. Pros: Walked off the boat, took a left and El Cid was right there. The Menu they provided for the all inclusive was very diverse and the food was absolutely phenomenal. (Nachos, Guacamole Starter, Enchiladas, Fajitas (Chicken had more meat, beef was very limited on amount of meat included). Food was very good and something for everyone on the menu not just Mexican cuisine. Snorkeling was great and the booking includes 90 minutes of snorkeling. Beautiful fish. Wifi worked very well (had a teenager who thought this was very important) Locker could be rented for 8.00 to secure your valuables. Cons: While beverages are included there is a separate menu for day pass guests. We spoke with guests who were staying at the El Cid and they said their drinks were great. (Two different color wrist bands). Our complaint doesn't concern the amount of alcohol in the drinks so if you don't care how the drinks tastes don't worry about it. However, bloody mary, pina colada, margarita, and rum punch were all very watered down tasting. Not a much flavor to any of these drinks. But when my husband ordered vodka/orange juice with his meal and the quality of the drink was much better. The bartenders at the bar/restaurant are very rude and show no courtesy to day pass guests. *****So basically we would rate the drinks and bar service a "2" but the overall day pass and restaurant/server was a four because of the other Pros.

We visited this resort on September 23, 2015 while on a cruise. The reason we chose El Cid was due to the close proximity to the Cruise Pier. When we arrived, we were welcomed by Maria at the Front Desk. We were given beach towels and a wifi code. Then we proceeded out to the resort grounds and found a nice spot near the water to relax. A waiter immediately took our drink order and kept the drinks coming. All food and beverages are included in the price. Snorkel Gear is also included. The snorkeling was amazing. All of the staff were very professional and polite. The resort is very laid back and comfortable. We will definitely return to this resort on future cruises and we may even book a future trip here. The price on ShoreExcursioneer was quite a bit better than it was on Resortforaday so I would suggest booking through ShoreExcursioneer. I can't wait to visit again next year.

I was a bit nervous doing this excursion not being purchased directly from the actual ship and let me say NO REGRETS!!! LOVED IT!!! My daughter had never gone snorkeling and was AMAZED with all the beauty in the sea. It is definitely a keeper for me.

Awesome place, especially if you've already been to Mexico before and you just want to relax. The food was delicious, drinks were ok, you were limited to the type of alcohol and mixers. I'm not a fruity drinker but I improvised. We had a great time near the beach. We could see our cruise line and it was easy to get to. (.3 mile) from the port. Perfect!

Our best trip to Cozumel

This was our 5th trip to Cozumel and by far our favorite. El Cid was so easy to get to - about a 5 minute walk from cruise dock. Everything was so clean and beautiful. Quiet day, only about 20 people there. Staff was kind and helpful, food and drinks were great. Snorkeling was fantastic! So many fish it was like being in an aquarium. We will be cruising with friends in March 2015 and plan to bring them along for this day of fun and relaxation.

We really loved spending the day at El Cid. It was the perfect size to keep an eye our children and not overrun with people. Our youngest was included for free and that was certainly appreciated on a vacation budget. Our service was excellent and our waiter never let us get thirsty. Though we will likely vacation in other places next year, we are giving El Cid 5 stars.

Our day at El Cid was just the best. It was the perfect place to spend the day. We got sun when we wanted it and shade when we needed it. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The beach area is very small, but we liked that. There was easy access to the water for snorkeling and the best part was that it was so close to the port for us, that we could walk. The photos on this website are very true to life too. I do want to mention how welcoming the staff was to us. The gentleman at the front desk who checked us in, the poolside waiter we had and even the doorman were just genuinely warm and friendly. We did not feel like intruders at all as we have felt at some other AI resorts we have purchased day passes for. Thank you El Cid and Cozumel Watersports.

This was our first time to Mexico and our first cruise. Since we were traveling with a couple small kids, we were just a little hesitant to do taxis with them (we did not have their car seats). We had really wanted a beach day and had been dealing with another online agency. They told us the resorts they had needed taxi travel. But someone recommended this site and we called. El Cid and their day pass package was the answer! It was close enough that we did not have to take a taxi. When we got to the resort, we were not disappointed. The property was even better than the photos. Great waiters, good quality food and excellent selection of drinks. We even got to do some snorkeling and saw the sunken airplane right off of the shore. Very fun for the kids. Thank you!

The El Cid was just around the corner from the Oasis pier, no need for a taxi ride. The buffet was nice, drinks ok and we really enjoyed the snorkeling.
