We offer a uniquely Floridian Shore Excursion adventure right here from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Take a 30-minute airboat ride and also spend time in a park exhibit where you can see and learn about, various wildlife of Florida including alligators, bobcats, lizards, and more. A great way to spend time in Florida!
Guests begin this Fort Lauderdale Excursion by taking a taxi from the Ft. Lauderdale cruise ship pier or local hotel/resort to the Everglades Park, which is about a 30-minute ride away. Departure times range throughout the day. We recommend guests arrive 90 minutes before their set departure time to enjoy the exhibits before their airboat ride (or stay on the premises after the airboat excursion part).
Once you arrive, a representative will greet you and confirm the time of your airboat departure. Then you are free to roam the exhibits that include colorful snakes, a Florida panther, black leopards, alligators, and more. There will be supervisors who will be able to answer questions you may have about the animals, the efforts put into preservation, and more.
When your time arrives for the airboat you will walk to the docking area and the captain will welcome you aboard. You will be provided with ear protection as the airboats are quite loud and strap in your life jacket. However, throughout your 30-minute ride through the Everglades, your experienced captain will slow the boat down to explain what you are seeing so you'll be able to hear him during these times.

Keep an eye out for a variety of egrets and herons, the white Ibis, alligators, turtles, nests, and more. Your Captain will make a point of going where wildlife has been observed before and you can enjoy the fruits of his experience. However, please do not feed the wildlife. The variety of habitats found within the Greater Everglades Ecosystem supports an assemblage of plant and animal species not found elsewhere on the planet.
Then, after gliding across the waters and stopping at various places, it will be time to return to the park. Guests are welcome to spend more time at the Sawgrass Exhibits if time and daylight allow and then take a taxi back to the Fort Lauderdale cruise ship pier or local hotel/resort.
Guests should call upon arriving in port and confirm their departure with the operator in case of inclement weather.
