    Excursion Notes
      • We suggest you have cash on hand for refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.
      • Comfortable, cotton clothing is suggested.
      • Closed toe, rubber-soled walking shoes that support the ankle are highly recommended.
      • Please note that there is a minimum of 6 guests required to operate this excursion. If the minimum is not met, the excursion will be cancelled but your payment is refundable.
    Excursion Restrictions
    • The excursion transportation is ADA accessible. Several of the stops on the program are not or are limited.
    • Wheelchairs must be standard size and fold up for storage. Scooters and electric chairs cannot be accommodated.
    • Guests must be able to step into and out of transportation.
    • Guests must be able to walk over paved, gravel and uneven surfaces, some on inclines.
    • There are steps required to reach several of the sites as well as some steep curbs.
    • Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
    • This excursion is for cruise ship guests only.

    The Kauai Grand Waimea Canyon Excursion operates rain or shine, within safety guidelines. The local shore excursion operator will decide at the time of departure, to postpone or cancel the excursion.

    Unfortunately, most of the sites used are only accessible by four wheel drive, boat, or as in Jurassic Park, by helicopter.

    Shopping time is not included on this excursion. As this is not a full day tour, there should be time to shop in Nawiliwili after the excursion.

    Lunch is not included. The Friday departure returns to the ship around noon. Guests on the Thursday departure may wish to pack a snack.
    Will there be restrooms?
    Restrooms are located at all the major stops. Some are very basic.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Kauai Grand Waimea Canyon Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation
    Cancellations up to 24 hours prior to excursion are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 24 hours prior to excursion are not refundable.

    For the Kauai Grand Waimea Canyon Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

Really loved this tour, kind of scary the paths going up to the canyon but worth it with the spectaculars views from every angle. We stopped at many of the little pull-offs on the winding road up and each view was unique and spectacular. The guide was very informative giving us a lot of information on the way. Really impressed of Hawaii landscapes.

It is incredible and one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen! I know it sounds corny but there were so many shades of green. Definitely, something you must try and do not forget your camera.
