    For the Juneau Half Day Salmon Fishing Excursion, you will meet your local excursion guide right in the Juneau cruise pier area. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.


    What is included?
    • Pickup and drop off right at the main cruise ship pier in Juneau 
    • English speaking knowledgeable U.S. Coast Guard-licensed salmon fishing captain 
    • All fishing tackle and lures. Complete salmon fishing equipment.
    • Snack - Chips, cookies, nutrigrain bars, soda, and water
    • Fishing licenses (for participants 16 years and older) are not included in the price of this Juneau Half Day Fishing Excursion and are available for purchase from your captain in cash USD onsite
    Excursion Notes
      • Excursion prices shown include all taxes and fees.
      • Guests must be able to navigate a ramp and step on/off the fishing boat.
      • Guests over 16 years of age will need to purchase salmon fishing licenses from the captain on board (cash only).
      • Your captain can arrange for caught fish to be professionally processed locally (packaged, flash frozen, smoked, etc.), and later shipped to your home for an additional charge. Cruise ships will not store sport-caught fish aboard.
      • By law, fish caught by guests cannot be prepared in a public/commercial kitchen.
      • Please pay attention to the restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if the requirements are not met.
      • We recommend wearing layers with the top layer being waterproof. 
      • We suggest you have cash on hand for refreshments, fishing license(s), excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.
    Excursion Restrictions
    • A minimum of 4 guests is required for this excursion to operate.
    • The minimum participation age is 6 years old (with an adult).
    • Guests must be able to board transportation, and navigate a ramp to the dock, which may be steep depending on the tide.
    • Fold-up wheelchairs can be stored with advance notice. They cannot be used on the boat
    • Pregnant women up to 10 weeks should check with their doctor before booking this excursion. Women 10 weeks or over should not participate in this excursion.

    It is called a fishing shore excursion, not a catching excursion, for a reason :). It is angler against salmon and there is no guarantee who will win. Good luck!
    Can I keep my Salmon caught on this Wild Salmon Fishing Excursion from Juneau?
    Your salmon fishing excursion captain can arrange for fish caught to be professionally processed locally (packaged, flash frozen, smoked, etc.), and later shipped to your home for an additional charge. Cruise ships will not store fish aboard. King Salmon are "catch and release" but the other 4 species (Silver, Sockeye, Pink, and Chum) are allowed to be kept.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Juneau Half Day Wild Salmon Fishing Adventure Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    Cancellations within 29 to 16 days prior to excursion are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of total price. Cancellations within 15 days prior to excursion are non-refundable.

    For the Juneau Half Day Wild Salmon Fishing Adventure Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 30 days prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

My friends and I went on this excursion during our cruise last year while our wives decided to stay in Juneau for shopping and walking. Our captain, Jason, seemed to communicate with the salmon because he took us to the best locations to fish, very accurate!! In total we got 2 pink salmon and 1 chum!! Jason offered to ship them back home since we weren't allowed to take them to the cruise, that's what I call customer service.
