Come with us to the tropical Calypso Island! You will enjoy both, pick up and drop off just minutes from your Grenada cruise ship pier. Snorkel gear is included, and there will be a restaurant and bar on the island for your refreshment.
To start this adventure, you'll meet at the cruise terminal where your guide is waiting and will lead you to the boat. Climb aboard and you can enjoy a lovely boat cruise along the shoreline of Grenada. Kick back and take in the views of lush, tropical foliage as you head to Calypso Island about a 40-minute ride away.
Calypso is a rocky, hilly tiny island full of character and surrounded by aqua blue water teaming with great snorkeling. Once you arrive at Calypso the boat will pull up to the jetty and the fun begins. There is a welcome drink of fresh fruit juice and some nibble snacks to enjoy. The guide will then pass out all of the snorkel gear before leading you out for your snorkel time along the island's bay. New to the sport? Not a problem, the guide will happily show you how to use the equipment. Guests will use the steps leading down into the water - snorkeling is from the boat, not the shore. Guests may choose to skip the snorkeling and just stay on the island if they wish.
Then enjoy 45 minutes of snorkeling through crystal clear waters. See the abundance of life that lies just beneath the surface. Tropical fish, colorful coral and more await you. If you have an underwater camera, this is a great time to use it and capture these wonderful moments the snorkeling guide will show you.
Afterward, you are welcome to explore the island, buy a drink or food on the hillside restaurant. Maybe just hang out on the boat, take a swim, or just sit back and do nothing at all. Then, after your island exploration, the guide will take you back to the boat and will enjoy the scenic cruise back to the dock close to your Grenada cruise ship pier.
