This Taino Bay, Puerto Plata Sightseeing and Beach Excursion begins outside the cruise center main gate of the port of Taino Bay, Puerto Plata. Your first photo stop will be at Fort San Felipe, which is also known as El Morro de San Felipe. Commissioned by King Felipe II of Spain in 1564 it wasn't completed until 1577. Its strategic location helped to guard the entrance to the city's seaport for hundreds of years.

Next on this Puerto Plata sightseeing shore excursion, you'll stop for views and photos of the famed Neptune Statue which is situated on a small island just off the coast.
