    • Guests must be able to walk a minimum of 1 mile on uneven rocky terrain.
    • Comfortable, cotton clothing is suggested.
    • Closed-toe, rubber-soled walking shoes that support the ankle are highly recommended.
    • Children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Kona Historic Coast Sightseeing Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

This exclusive small group, half-day shore excursion is a great introduction to the Big Island of Hawaii and the famous Kona coast. A little history, some white sand, a taste of Kona coffee, and a big sampling of the Hawaiian way of life will make lasting memories for you. Only a maximum of 12!

Me and husband took this excursion in our last cruise. We needed an excursion where we could enjoy the Hawaiian coast and also learn more facts about the culture and history on the island. Our guide was the best and we tipped him very well, excellent and professional service. I loved the coffee we tasted in Kealakekua.

Our day in Kona was packed with lots of information on Hawaiian culture and fun facts such as that every year Kona hosts the Ironman: it was great to see parts of the route the athletes use after seeing it on television over the years! My favorite part of this excursion was the visit to a coffee farm, the taste of Kona's coffee is similar to the one I tried on Costa Rica last year. I highly recommend this excursion!
