There are so many attractions to see in the beautiful city of Kiel. If you like sea views then you've certainly chosen the right place to come to! The bus will take you to 9 stops, all of which are very close to the glorious Baltic Sea. Hop on, soak up the sunshine, feel the wind in your hair, and smell the sea breeze as you travel around the maritime wonder, of Kiel.
Guests may hop on at any of the stops around Kiel. If you are arriving on a cruise ship, then there is a stop close to the cruise terminal. To plan out your day, please see the link below for the route map. There are 8 stops along the route. The full route takes approximately 105 minutes and the buses run every 75 minutes. You can choose just to stay on the bus and sightseeing for the whole loop. Or you can hop off at a stop, explore, and then just hop back on the next bus as it passes by.
When you get on the bus, you can listen to an informative commentary available in 8 different languages. The headsets are provided.
The bus route begins right outside the Haltestellen Schwedenkai, the ship terminal. Just hop on the open-top buses, take a seat upstairs, and watch the world go by from up high. You'll be able to take in the sea views and soak up the sunshine as we travel straight across the Baltic Sea Terminal, and travel along to Reventlou Bridge at Bus Stop 4. Make sure you have your camera at the ready, the deep blue waters and the surrounding greenery can't be missed!
Next on the agenda is the Diederichsenpark. Take a book with you and hop off at this park. It's a great location to stop, unwind, and take in the peaceful atmosphere. Sit back and relax as we pass the wonders of Herthastra'e and Nor-Ostsee-Kanal along the Kiel Canal. Here you'll find the world's largest man-made waterway where you can see all the boats coming into the land. There's even a waterfront cafe if you want to take a short break from the bus tour and take in the beautiful surroundings.
