The easiest and most economical way to get around Naples to see the highlights and sights! Stay on the bus for the full route or hop off and back on at the stops you want to explore.
Naples' historic center is a Unesco World Heritage Site, its archaeological treasures are among the world's most important, and its swag of glorious palaces, castles, and churches makes Rome look positively rustic. Blessed with rich volcanic soils, a bountiful sea, and centuries of culinary tradition, the Naples region is one of Italy's epicurean heavyweights, serving up the country's best pizza, pasta and coffee, and many of its most celebrated seafood dishes, street snacks, and sweet treats. Certainly, Naples' urban sprawl can feel anarchic, tattered, and unloved. But look beyond the grime, graffiti, and occasional gruffness and you'll uncover a city of breathtaking frescoes, sculptures, and panoramas, of unexpected elegance, spontaneous conversations, and profound humanity.
Once you depart your Naples cruise terminal you will make your way to the first bus stop just 10 minutes walking. You can't miss the big red bus or the clearly marked bus stops around the city. A friendly hostess service greets you upon your arrival and will gladly answer any questions that you might have about the route, the stops, or the city. While onboard you will hear the commentary in eight languages (on the free app) that will provide detailed information about the history and culture while entertaining you with interesting anecdotes and secrets of the city. To add to your overall experience, a soundtrack of ageless melodies and songs will accompany the narration. Whether you choose to stay on the bus to cover as much ground as possible or exit the bus often to experience firsthand the incredible art, architecture, or cuisine, you simply can't go wrong with this excursion.
With a total of 23 stops along the 2 different routes, you have a wide variety of options ahead of you. Some guests choose to just stay aboard the bus for the full circuit which takes approximately 61 - 72 minutes depending on the route. But most guests plan ahead and decide the stops they will hop off at to explore the nearby highlight such as the Archeologic Museum, shopping at Corse Umberto, or one of the many plazas such as Dante, Leon or Vittoria. Seek out some authentic pizza or go on a photo safari! The options and choices are yours to tailor-make your day. Using the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus as a means to get around the city is far less expensive than using the bus, train, or taxi systems!
When you have completed your journey on the bus, simply hop off and walk back to your Naples cruise terminal where you can board your ship or explore more on your own.
Please note that entrance fees to the optional venues and attractions are not included.
