    Frequently Asked Questions
Will they cancel if it is raining?
The Oslo excursion operates rain or shine, within safety guidelines. The buses include covered areas on the lower deck and many also include electric roofs over the top deck in case of inclement weather.
    Will there be restrooms?
Restrooms are located near each bus stop. In Europe, a small package of tissues is suggested as public restrooms may or may not have toilet paper. Most public restrooms require a small fee. Having a few local coins is highly recommended, as they do not always make changes.
    Is there shopping time included?
Shopping time is completely up to you. You decide how you want to spend your time.
Can I use my City Sightseeing ticket on any on/off bus?
Your ticket is only valid on the City Sightseeing buses. Unfortunately, other buses have accepted City Sightseeing tickets and then charged the guests extra once on board. There is no refund for unused tickets or tickets presented to the wrong operator.
Are dogs allowed on this Sightseeing Excursion?
Small, well-behaved dogs are allowed, the dog must be in a portable kennel.
    Can I use US dollars?
Most large stores and restaurants will take major credit cards and some may take other currencies besides the Euro. Small stores restaurants or sidewalk vendors will usually only take local currency. The best exchange rates for currency are usually at major bank ATMs. The worst rates are at the airport, train stations, or exchange bureaus located in major excursionist areas. Before leaving home, please check with your credit card companies and banks on what transaction or other fees they may apply if you use a debit or credit card abroad. These are in addition to the fees applied by the vendor or host bank where you are using the card.
Do I need to take my passport with me on the Oslo Hop On Hop Off City Sightseeing Bus Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.

This is a must if in Oslo for the first time. The city is amazing and if you want to see the best locations, you need to book this tour! They make it so easy for new visitors to see the best of the city and let them choose what to explore closer. I can not wait to bring more people next time!

The bus was very comfortable and the views seemed equally good from any seat. What I like about this excursion is that this is basically a looped route sightseeing option where you can just stay on the bus or jump off it at any of the stop along the route. We decided to stay on to listen to the commentary and got a great overview of it all. I highly recommended Shore Excursioneer, all the booking process was very smooth. We really enjoyed the Hop On Hop bus - our first but not our last.

I just came home from a cruise one of our port of calls was Oslo. The city seems to be growing and developing and the hop on hop off city tour gave us the chance to see a good portion of the city. The buses come back about every half hour so a bit of planning and you can see all you want and more. I really like the tour!

The buses are clean, bus drivers helpful, signs very well marked. Sound for commentary good. Better than taking a tour off the cruise ship. This is a great choice for people who want to do what they want, not be taken to places they are not interested in.

We cruise a couple of times a year and always try to do something different in each port we go to. This year we took an NCL 2 week cruise that went to some new places we had never been to. The Hop On Hop Off bus is an excellent way to know Oslo since it covers all the main attractions in the city. There are 15+ stops where you could get off the bus to look around and then get back on. The buses ran by about every 30 minutes so there never was wasted time waiting. Plan out your stops and where you want to go. Be sure to bring money for entrance fees to museums as those are not included (we ended up going to one and glad we had euros as they mention in the notes). We purchased the excursion tickets online before we left on the cruise which as very convenient! Using the Hop On Off bus was a very easy, safe and inexpensive way to get around.

The day was good, the weather was nice and getting the bus from the port was most convenient to get a feel of the city and get to the main attractions, was fully satisfied. We will sure look to see if there is a Hop On Hop Off bus tour in other cities we cruise to in the future.

We took the hop on hop off from our cruise terminal. I think it's the best hop on hop off of all we have taken. Just the drive is beautiful. It also stops at the worthwhile sites most people would be interested in seeing in Oslo! My wife took great pictures. My favorite stop was the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History, of course, fee was not included, but we were prepared.

We arrived at the port via cruise ship, there was a stop close to the terminal, so was pretty easy to find the location, my wife was very excited as it was her first time on this port and wanted to see as much as possible, this tour bus gives you exactly what you need an overview of the city, I was amazed at the places we saw, very nice and comfortable bus! this is a must do if you go to Oslo and cannot decide what to do because you can see it all on the bus

visited Norway as a gift and could not miss out visiting the Capital. Went during summer time and the weather was perfect. These hop on hops offs bus tours are the best way to venture into a new city since it gives you 24 hours access to the bus. My fav were Akershus fortress and the viking museum.
