    Meeting Point

    For this Falmouth Horse Ride and Ocean Swim Excursion, you will meet just outside your cruise terminal. All specific information will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket. If there are fewer than 4 participants in the departure group, transportation is $20.00usd R/T p/p; if 4 or more participants then the RT transportation cost is included in the price.

    Excursion Notes
      • We suggest you bring a swimsuit, towel, sun protection, water shoes/sneakers, cash for photos, tips, etc.
      • If there are fewer than 4 participants in the departure group, transportation is $20.00 USD (round trip, per person).
      • If 4 or more participants are booked then the RT transportation cost is included in the price. 
      • Times are approximate.
      • There are no lockers; guests may leave personal items in the van.
    • Not available on Sundays
    Excursion Restrictions
    • Participants must be in adequate physical condition for horseback riding.
    • The minimum participation age is 5 years old.
    • Only one guest per horse - no doubling up.
    • Children must wear helmets (provided).
    • Maximum guest weight is 240lbs (108Kg). 
    • Guests will be weighed on-site. Those who are overweight will not be allowed to participate in the horseback ride and will lose the deposit paid. Those guests may choose to wait on the beach for an additional charge of $25.00 USD. All others in the group must give 48 hours prior notice to cancel and must pay the balance. 
    • This Falmouth Horseback Riding Excursion with Ocean Swim may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.

    Cancellation

    For the Falmouth Horseback Riding Excursion with Ocean Swim,we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if:

    • You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
    • Your ship misses/skips the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
    • Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

Amazing first time Putnam Valley, NY

Wow. This was my very first experience riding a horse and was memorable. All the lovely horses are well trained and are so patient with us; Although I was kind of nervous, the guide made me feel more trust and slowly I started to feel more comfortable. What can I say? The landscapes are gorgeous and the environment and peace by doing the activity make it even better. Thanks to all!

I honestly do not know what I was expecting considering the circumstances and seeing as how I'm just some \"privileged\" American. I have been raised with horses my entire life and I almost refused to mount the horse I was given. As he looked malnourished, tired and worn. He had been left with wet saddle blankets on the entire day his hair was brittle, his coat not shiny but coarse and rough. His lips were dry his skin was flakey and his ribs all protruding from his ribcage. The horse in front of me actually buckled at the knee with a teenage girl riding him/her and the guide proceeded to whip the horse to get him/her back up. The horses do not look or act like they're well taken care of and it was devastating but what could I Do? I reported it to the cruise line and infact they gave me the choice for another excursion but that was not what I was wanting. The cruise attendant bluntly said ma'am you have to realize this is a 3rd world country and they do not have the mean like we do at home. I was dumbfounded. Can some one say animal cruelty, or does this not matter? I understand this is how some of these kids, yes kids make their living, but with the amount of the tourists that travel through here you and I both know they can afford to maintain these animals better than they are. I was a witness to a few of the horses being kicked and whipped with sticks and whips and for trying to eat in their Corel but instead of letting the horse eat they threw a 250 pound male on his/her back and kept hitting the poor thing when it didn't want to go. The horse was trying to stop a d lay down he/she was so exgausted. Just be aware when booking excursions like this, I guess think about where your booking in the 1st place. It truly was heart breaking and I will never in my life again do this.

We just got back from our cruise and doing this excursion for the second time in 4 years. It was so amazing the first time we went back in 2015, we booked it again. And we were not disappointed. Just great from the guides to the horses - top notch and our 4 thumbs up!

I was a bit weary to book this excursion since all the reviews were pretty old, but took the chance and I'm glad I did. They picked us up from the port and took us to the stables. There were about 12 of us on the excursion. Once we arrived, they went over safety procedures and assigned us to horses. The horses all appeared to be well cared for. The trail ride to/from the beach was nice - I especially liked when we were walking alongside of the ocean. I would have liked the swimming portion to be a bit longer. They have a photographer who will take pictures of your excursion and will show them to you if you want to purchase them. We did purchase them for $40 however when we got home our computer was unable to read the disk. :(

This really was quite an experience. This was a really fun tour and I would certainly recommend it. The guides were great to spend the day with and the horses seemed to enjoy the water as much as we did. We rode through some of the most beautiful countryside as well. Enjoyed every minute.

We did this recently on our cruise - me and my 2 friends. It was the best part of the whole vacation. The horses were well taken care of and all of the employees were so friendly. The best part by far was getting to ride them in the ocean...never knew horses could swim. It was one of those WOW moments. I highly recommend.

We thought that this was a good shore excursion for us. It was excellent. We really did get to ride the horses into the water. The horses were very calm and gentle. Our guides were a huge help and had some very interesting facts to share with us along the way. Would I recommend this tour? In a heart beat! Beautiful private beach area on site that we hung out at afterwards until it was time to head back. Great outfit.
