We totally enjoyed to be in Jerez and we loved to visit the in The Royal Andalusian School. It was really interesting and so much fun to do it by ourselves.

We've booked 2 Cadiz excursions through Shore Excursioneer and were very happy with our choices and had a wonderful time, so, on our 5th cruise to Spain, we did not doubt in booking through them again and decide to visit Jerez. We were a bit nervous since this tour you are basically on your own but we were actually given great references and a map from our tour guide and the town is fairly small but there is plenty to do. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We did do online research too so we knew where we wanted to visit. We bought our tickets with anticipation to the Andalusian Equestrian School as the website suggested. This was such a unique experience and had never witnessed anything similar. The horses put on a great show and we actually met one of the equestrians who was extremely polite and filled us in on the history of the Spaniard horses. We got to see the carrousel show and it was so spectacular. The visit was well worth it and a must do if you are in town. We also explored some of the cathedrals and they were breathtaking. We visited the town plaza. The town has a classic architecture and we felt taken back in time. Of course we could not pass on the opportunity and try some Jerez (sherry). We visited a bodega for some tasting and we found this small ice cream parlor that served vanilla ice cream with Jerez and it was exquisite. Our guide gave us instructions on where to meet him and once we finished exploring we were taken back to Cadiz. Our trip to this small town was well worth it and glad we had the opportunity to visit. We took such wonderful pictures and showed it to our friends and we are bringing them next time! Perfect excuse to return...
