Fun, action-packed combo excursion. Ride a jet ski, snorkel at a coral reef, and enjoy a relaxing beach break.
You'll meet your guide outside of your Roatan cruise terminal and be taken to the jet ski dock to start your adventure. You'll be given instructions on the operation of the jet ski and safety tips before you put on your life jacket and head off. The jet skis are for single or double riders. You'll ride over the crystal-clear turquoise waters while enjoying the lush green shoreline. The guided jet ski portion is approximately 40 minutes.
After zipping across the water, and enjoying the Caribbean from above you'll now experience it from below. A snorkel boat will take you to the best spot depending on the weather conditions of the day. Blue Channel and Aquarium reefs are 2 of the popular options. The sloping wall is from 10 to 45 feet under the water. Here your guide will show you a colorful variety of fish like damselfish, barracuda, triggerfish, snapper, grunts, goatfish, and grouper to name a few. Green moray eels, sea turtles, and lobsters also make this interesting coral their home. Bring your underwater camera to capture this other world. You'll have 45 to 60 minutes to marvel at the marine life beneath the waves all from a safe distance. Note that guests must be comfortable in the water and know how to swim. Snorkeling is from a boat and guests will NOT be able to touch the bottom.
Finish your day with some beach time at Bananarama Resort. Depending on the departure time of your cruise you'll have approximately 1 to 2 hours to relax on a white sandy beach. Here you'll have live music, 2 restaurants to choose from if you'd like to purchase a meal, drinks or snacks, beach chairs, bathrooms, changing rooms, and freshwater showers. Swim, take a stroll, or lounge on the beach.
When the beach break time comes to an end, you'll board your transportation to be returned to your Roatan cruise ship terminal.
