    Excursion Notes
      • Please try to take the first or second tender off the ship to be at the meeting location on time so you do not forfeit your reservation. If there are any time issues, please contact the local operator.
      • We suggest you bring sun protection, water sports sandals or tennis that can get wet, sun protection, bug spray, a waterproof camera, a towel, a swimsuit, a change of clothes, and cash for tips, souvenirs, etc.
      • All zip line equipment is certified to international zip line standards.
      • All guides are licensed tour guides and are certified in first aid and CPR.
      • If water levels are low, the guide will tie tubes together and assist through the water.
      • Departure time may be approximate.
      • Car seats are available upon request at no extra cost.
    Excursion Restrictions
    • The minimum participation age is 3 years old as well as the minimum height.
    • The minimum height is 40in (101cm) to enter the caves.
    • Maximum weight per person is 360 lbs (164 kg) for tubing and 300 lbs (136 kg) for zip lining.
    • The maximum waist size for the zip line is 46in (116cm) due to equipment requirements.
    • Participants must be in reasonable physical condition and be able to climb the zip line platform stairs (approximately 23 - 25 steps).
    • This excursion is not allowed for those guests with mobility issues, neck/back/knee injuries or issues, or those guests who are pregnant. 
    • This Belize Cave Tubing and Jungle Zip Line Excursion may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.

    How many caves do you visit on your Belize cave tubing excursions?
    You will visit 3 caves. There is only one entrance so once in the water, you will go through the 3.
    What is the water temperature on the cave tube excursion?
    The water is refreshing, around 70 to 74 degrees, and it stays about the same year-round. It is a great refreshment when you have been hiking on a warm day.
    I'm sort of claustrophobic. Can I participate in the cave tubing excursion in Belize?
    Yes you can! Just let your guide know and they can stay close. The caves are not small or completely dark.
    I am not good at walking for a long time, is this cave tubing excursion right for me?
    The river entrance is about a 25-minute walk away. This excursion is not allowed for those with any type of mobility issue.
    I cannot swim. Can I still do cave tubing?
    Yes, cave tubing does not require swimming, unless you want to. Being an inexperienced swimmer is also not a problem. You will get on your inner tube in shallow water and you ride in the tube the entire time of the excursion. You will also be wearing a life jacket for safety and comfort. If you inform your guide that you cannot swim, he can assure you feel safe during the excursion. The guide will assist the group if any shallow areas.
    Are lockers available during the excursion?
    Yes, there are lockers available for rent at an extra charge (please ask your shore excursion guide for pricing).
    What is the travel time to the cave tubing site?
    It is about 45 minutes to one hour to and from the site.
    Is the excursion canceled if it is raining?
    The excursion can be operated in rain or shine, however, it is the local operator who will decide if the excursion may be canceled due to safety reasons.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Belize Cave Tubing and Jungle Zip Line Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Belize Cave Tubing and Jungle Zip Line Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.

I booked this excursion for my husband and I. We had no trouble finding them at the terminal and we didn’t wait very long to head out to our destination. We ended up being the only ones who booked this experience so we had a private tour with our guide Melvin. It took us 45 minutes to get to the jungle and Melvin was conversational, professional and well educated on his country and shared many interesting facts with us. He made sure we felt confident that we would make it back from the excursion before the last boat left for our ship. We had an outstanding experience with both him and the gentlemen working the zip line. Everyone was friendly, comfortable and made our experience enjoyable. We would highly recommend this excursion to friends. Lunch was also very tasty. All in all we would give this experience a 10/10.

Zipping and Tubing with Luis Missouri, USA

We had an absolute blast on this excursion. We had a very small group and our guide Luis was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. We began with a drive out of Belize City and I learned so much as we drove. When we arrived at the archaeological site, we were taken to our zipline guides and had a blast. When we finished with that, Luis took us to the tubes for the caves. Other guides had their guests carry their tubes, but Luis had them already waiting for us so we could walk easier. The caves were AMAZING. It was so relaxing to float through the cool water after sweating on the ziplines. After we tubed, we had a delicious lunch of barbecue chicken, rice and beans and vegetables. I cannot say enough good things about this excursion.

Our tour was great. Tarique did an excellent job giving us info, keeping us on time, and making us feel welcome. The kids really enjoyed him as well. We came in on a cruise ship and the timing worked out well to have zip lining, cave tubing and lunch and not feel rushed. I would recommend bringing some heavy snacks since there is a bit of hiking and lunch is at the end. I will definitely plan to spend a longer trip in Belize based on this experience.

This excursion was AWESOME. We had the incredible Vel for our tour guide, and he was maybe my favorite person we met on our entire cruise. He was so friendly and had such love for Belize, and loved to tell us lots of things about it. He pointed out all kinds of cool things about Belize (my personal favorite was the Sleeping Giant Mountain). The excursion went like this: we got off the boat and headed to our meeting spot (Terminal 1 was closed so we had to route through Terminal 2...but it was very nearby). Vel was there waiting and he was so happy (giddy almost!) that we were so early. One of the best parts is that the groups are small, so our family of six had Vel all to ourselves. We all piled into the minivan and headed out to the mountains. It was about an hour drive, maybe a bit more. When we arrived, he turned us over to the ziplining crew and we climbed up into the treetops for ziplining. The guys were very professional and extremely safe, and very knowledgable about what we were doing. We forgot our GoPro mount, and they had one available for rent, right there by the starting point ($3 US). They got the camera all set up and started for us. They were great. When we finished ziplining, we met back up with Vel at the starting point, and there we grabbed tubes and lifejackets and headlamps, and headed off for the river. Be ready to walk about 20-30 minutes, but the walking is easy and flat (not like the ziplining, there you're climbing a lot of stairs). From there, Vel got our tubes all tied up and we took off. Vel took us through all the caves, and took us into special spots when he could (the sinkhole was one). He was full of stories and so much love and pride for Belize, and the joy was contagious. If you can swing this excursion, take it. If you can snag Vel for your tourguide, DO IT!

We had Roberto as our Guide and thought he was fantastic. It was a little clunky when we first arrived off the water shuttle as the instructions only state to try to take the first or second water taxi and we got put on the 3 or 4th so we were worried we were going to miss our excursion. Once we arrived; there were 2 others that we had to wait on from a different booking. The 5-10 mins turned into almost an hour later when we finally got on our way. Roberto was very pleasant and knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about Belize on our almost hour drive out to the excursion park. The zip lining was awesome, even if the hike up to the lines was somewhat steep. The cave tubing was incredible. Truly breathtaking. Roberto made the tubing relaxing as he did all the work while we just floated along. Lunch on the way back was at a local place that served yummy burritos. Even with the delayed start; we still made it back to the port about 45 mins before the last scheduled water taxi back to the ship so we got to shop a bit as well. Highly recommend this tour as it shows true Belize and gives great adventures to satisfy the energetic crowd.

We took our 4 teenage kids on this excursion and we loved it!! Leonardo was the best tour guide ever!! He took the time and talked to us the whole trip and told us all about Belize. The caves were amazing and so much fun. There was a 25 minute hike to get there but so worth it. We went zip lining afterwards and I am deathly scared of heights. I enjoyed it so much. You ziplined through a canopy of trees so the height really wasn't an issue at all. The zip line guides knew I was scared of heights and totally walked me through everything. Leonardo even had an amazing lunch waiting for us in the van for the trip home. This was by far one of our most favorite excursions with a top notch tour guide!!!

My wife and I visited Belize and had a wonderful excursion through Shore Excursioneer. Both tour guides were very knowledgeable, fun and accommodating. The drive to and from the Caves were about 45 minutes, which Deco talked and showed some history of Belize. They were very aware of our time to get us back to the ship on time. The zip lining guides were very professional and we felt very safe. Added bonus lunch was delicious. Will definitely use Shore Excursioneer in the future.

Our guides provided outstanding service on our excursion on July 11, 2017. Deco was especially informative during the drive to and from the cruise terminal as well as extremely helpful during the trip. He made sure that my entire family was provided the assistance they required during both the zip lining and the tubing, especially making sure they carried the tubes for the female members of the family. He made sure we got food and drinks after the excursion, and was highly conscious of making sure we made it back to the cruise terminal well in advance of our last tender to the cruise ship. Ricky was also great with the cave tubing part of the trip, even offering to take a video of our family with my camera. He worked very hard in the river to make sure we kept moving in the correct direction and pointed his flashlight in the direction of areas of interest. We will be going on another cruise in 2018 to another area of the Caribbean, and if the service provided in those ports come anywhere near the service provided by Deco and Ricky, I would not hesitate to book those excursions without hesitation.

I was very nervous about going on an excursion outside of carnival. I am so glad I chose this one. I cant remember our guide's name but I know he is with (excursion operator). Black bald guy with hazel eyes. We had like a 2 hour delay at first due to 10 guests getting to a tinder late but then they had to turn around and go back to the ship because they forgot something. However, our guide made sure he did his best to get us on our excursion and fast! Zip lining was lots of fun. Our guides were great and funny! The cave tubing was amazing! also relaxing. Our guide did buy us water and lunch (the Belize tomales were amazing!) Only thing we never got was the rum punch but he did buy me a coke :) I will definitely do this excursion again next time I am in Belize.

At first we did not feel entirely safe upon arriving to Belize. We found where we were supposed to go and we were the first ones to arrive so we thought we were going to have to do the excursion alone. All of the workers were very nice but no one had shirts, or badges, or anyway that indicated they were part of any tour guide company. The vans we got in were just plain white vans with no tour guide company printed...and the trip was an hour away. The lady who collected our money was wearing everyday clothes sitting on a brick wall, and pocketed the money we owed... Cash. Everyone that arrived after us was also very sketched out and the people in the van with us even said to us "it was nice knowing you" haha. Needless to say I think they could work on making their approach a little more inviting and less scary. We had nothing to worry about and our guide - Sean - was excellent. The ride was long but he was very knowledgable and gave an excellent tour of Belize on the way. The hike to the caves was about 1-2 miles but was rewarded upon getting into the cool cave water. We even got to see some wild howler monkeys! We definitely enjoyed our excursion and would recommend it!

My group of 9 booked this excursion through ShoreExcursioneer. It was awesome! Our guide picked us up at the port and took us to the cave. Our ride to the cave was about a hour. Mario would point out things in the city and tell us the history about the city. Once we got to the cave another guide joined us. Deon and Mario were awesome guides as we went through the cave. After we tubed we then went ziplining which was so much fun! After we ziplined it was time for lunch. The ladies made us an authentic lunch of chicken, rice, beans and a salad. It was soooo good! I would recommend this excursion to everyone! Heather aka 135 Miles!

Our tour guides were awesome! This is a very fun excursion for all ages. The Zip Line was a bit more exhilarating than the Cave Tubing, but all in all, we felt safe, secure, learned a lot, and had a blast! Definitely, recommend this excursion for all ages!

We signed up for this excursion with a little hesitancy going out on our own instead of through the cruise ship (Carnival). This excursion exceeded our expectations (and we saved a bunch of $$$). We had a great time and everything ran smoothly. We had kids with us from ages 8-16 and they all loved it, along with the adults! Our guide is what made this excursion the best!! His name was Adrien (sp?) "Smiley". He was a local who gave us the best information as we drove and during the cave tubing. During the tubing, several groups passed us and we hardly heard their guides saying anything. Smiley went above and beyond to give us the attention and information that made this fantastic. We were a little short on time, but Smiley made sure we got the lunch to go so we wouldn't go hungry on our way back to port. THANKS SMILEY!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!

What a great time. Wow where to start. Speedy, our tour guide was AWESOME so was our woman tour guide I think her name was Star or Rose? Speedy was funny, his english was great and he was super friendly. Everything was so organized and educational throughout the trip. Great bang for your buck and the views are to die for!

We were only able to do the ZipLine experience. Due to heavy rains the night before, the park officials closed all cave tubing in fear of flash flooding. The vendor was very accommodating and took us to the Belize Zoo as replacement. Both were totally awesome! Had never zip lined before, had a 7 and 10-year-old and they did great on their own! The zoo was a great experience and our Guide was full of knowledge and showed us all the different fruit trees and history along the way. Lunch was great, tried the local food.

Initially, a slow start! Waited on the bus for an hour for other excursioners to get on board. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Bus ride to caves was about 45 min, but a good chance to see the city and countryside. We did tubing first, then zip lines. Tubing was relaxing, good history of area. Guides work hard to keep you on track and schedule. Zip lines (about 8 towers in trees) were fun. Virtually no lines doing the tubing first. Take good water shoes! Some hiking and climbing on stairs. Good exercise!

This was our first time to book outside Carnival for an excursion and I was a bit nervous when the ticket said to get the first tender off the boat and meet by 8:45. Carnival was letting excursions booked thru them off first (of course) and so we were on like the third or fourth boat out. I was very pleased to see that we had not been left. I had booked Zipline & Cavetubing combo for both my husband and myself. When we got to the place and discussed with the people there we concluded that the Zipline might not be a good idea for my husband as he was having a bit of back pain and the steep climb might be more than he could handle. They graciously adjusted the rate for him without any problems. Our tour guide was named Oscar. He was very attentive and gave us great background on the areas we were seeing as well as a bit of history as we had our 1 1/2 ride to the site. The lunch was good and the rum punch was WOO HOOO I got to play bartender on the way back to Belize---we almost killed of that gallon of punch :) I would also like to say a special thank you to Libby who was the number two on our cave tubing trip that girl is one strong young lady ! they had us all roped together and she was pulling us through the cave while sitting in a tube and back stoking with her arms----she was faster than some groups that had two guys in the front. I would definitely recommend this excursion and if you can ask for Oscar !! BTW this excursion was approx $60 per person less than Carnival and they fed us lunch !!!

In comparison to all of the other excursions at the 5 western Caribbean ports, we felt this was the best. Our guides were superb in letting us experience so much of their country and culture. Just the ride to and from the excursion was worth the money, as they shared so many interesting stories and the origins of the Mayan people. The cave tubing was very relaxing and beautiful after our exhilarating zip line adventure. Loved the lunch the local family prepared for us - most of us helped ourselves to seconds. Our guides made sure we were well satisfied and had our fill of Rum Punch. I highly recommend this excursion. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and a delight to spend the entire day with!

We did this as a family on our last cruise. It could not have been any better. They made us feel like part of the family. All of the equipment, guides, and facilities were just top notch. Both operations - the zipline and the cave tubing were run very safe and secure. My kids are still talking about this and it has been weeks!
