Many cruise ship enthusiasts arrive a day early or still want to do a little more after their cruise is over. For those who want to make the most of their vacation, enjoy a day trip to exciting Key West. Round trip, and comfortable, transportation are included, of course. You'll have great views, cross 42 bridges, and have some time to relax. It's about a 5-hour trip and you can catch up on some reading, take in the tropical scenery, take a nap, and take in the quiet.
Once you've arrived at Key West your driver will tell you exactly where and when you need to be for the return trip back to Fort Lauderdale. Feel the island's energy immediately get you smiling with its laid-back, eclectic vibe. Go ahead and schedule your time for parasailing and then let the exploring begin. You'll have about 6 hours on the island and so many choices.
You can also just walk about and see it all. Be sure to visit Mallory Square where the locals go by day to shop, and it's also where they gather to watch the sunset. Maybe sip some coffee and try out the key lime pie while people-watching. Check out the Hemingway Home, the Museum of Sunken Treasures, or other of the many museums here. Stop by the Hog's Breath Saloon, or Sloppy Joe's, two of the most famous bars just about anywhere, and get to meet a few of the locals. Swing by the legendary Kermit's Key Lime Pie Shop for some of their mouthwatering pie. Explore East Martello Fort or maybe the Key West Botanical Gardens. There are many highlights to see and photograph such as the Key West Lighthouse or the Historic Seaport. You will have a total of approximately 6 hours in Key West to parasail and sightsee. Note that the entrance fee is not included for any additional attractions you choose to see.
When it's your time to go parasailing, you'll meet at the dock and be welcomed aboard a state-of-the-art, 12-passenger boat. You'll have the choice to ride solo or tandem, the price is per person. When it is your time to go up, they will hook you into your harness, click your harness onto the chute, and off you'll go for fantastic views and a surprisingly quiet ride. See Key West from the air and the beautiful waters below. When your flight time is over (approximately 6 minutes) the boat winch will bring you back onto the boat. The boat will take you back to the dock once everyone onboard has flown.
Unfortunately, all days come to an end. When the time arrives, you'll meet at the designated spot and time, then hop back on your transportation for the drive back to Ft. Lauderdale.
