      • We recommend wearing layers with the top layer being waterproof. The closer you get to the glacier, the cooler the air temperature. 
      • Please wear sensible walking/hiking shoes that may get wet.
      • We suggest you have cash on hand for refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.

    • This excursion is not wheelchair accessible.
    • Guests should be in moderate to good physical health.
    • Children need to weigh at least 40lbs (18Kg).
    • Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
    • Children ages 13-17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate without a parent or guardian.
    • Pregnant women up to 10 weeks should check with their doctor before booking this excursion. Women 10 weeks or over should not participate in this excursion.

This was an unforgettable canoe experience. Our group consisted of 10 people and all did great teamwork. We were able to see the glacier really close up, spotted some wild creatures and have fun with our friends.

When in Alaska do as the Alaskans! Canoeing and kayaking is a famous activity and Alaska so we booked this knowing we would be canoeing our way to see the impressive Mendenhall Glacier but we also saw other glaciers along the way (smaller), icebergs and the nuggets fall. I saw some people getting ready for what it seemed a hiking tour on the glacier which looks like fun and would like to try on our next visit in July 2019. Great guides, very professional.

We are used to the sunny California weather and when our cruise stopped in Alaska we decided to do this tour. It was really one of a kind experience. We were guided and our tour guides were so informative the whole time. There really isnt any glaciers everywhere so being close to one was a unique experience plus the lake is so beautiful sorrounded by mountains, the waterfall, animals and so much more that cannot be described. We loved the cold and I think it gives it a romantic feel to it.

We did this tour in July, since we researched and said this is the best time to visit and view bears and wild life. This is the season when the salmon spawn. It was the perfect weather and we loved the canoe ride through the lake and the view was amazing. Since the weather was great our guides took us to the skirts of the waterfalls. So much nature beauty and so different to anything we have experienced. It was a trip we will never forget and hope to return.
