    You will meet directly at Mr. Sanchos Beach which is a 7-minute taxi ride from the Puerta Maya and the International pier or an 11-minute taxi ride from the Punta Langosta downtown pier.

    Excursion Notes
      • Departure times are set when you arrive.
      • It is not allowed to "double up" on one horse.
      • Children will be given their own horse with a guide leading the horse on foot.
      • Operational hours at Mr. Sanchos are Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
      • A 15-minute horseback riding briefing needs to be added to the total excursion time. The ride is approximately 30 minutes.
    Excursion Restrictions
    • This horseback riding is only available if you purchased the Mr. Sanchos All Inclusive Day Pass.
    • The maximum weight per horse is 250 lbs (115 kg).
    • This excursion is not suitable for mobility-impaired people.
    • Inexperienced horseback riders are welcome.
    • This Cozumel Mr. Sanchos Beach Horseback Riding Excursion may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.
    Frequently Asked Questions
    Can I run/gallop with the horses and/or enter the ocean with the horse?
    Unfortunately, even if you are an experienced rider, as a safety measure for the rest of the guests, running/galloping the horses is not allowed. Entering to the sea, is not possible, as the tour takes place inside an ecologic reserve.
    Is the Mr. Sanchos Beach Horseback Excursion canceled if it is raining?
    The Horseback Riding Excursion can be operated in rain or shine, however, it is the local operator who will decide if the excursion may be canceled due to safety reasons.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Cozumel Mr. Sanchos Beach Horseback Riding Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Cozumel Mr. Sanchos Beach Horseback Riding Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of Anytime prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

So there is nothing really wrong with this excursion. Most people just put five stars because they had a good time. I tend to reserve the five stars like you would at a hotel. There has to be something above and beyond that makes it extremely memorable. The guys here are very nice and the horses are good. They are definitely above average. My guide Martin was very nice. My son and I both ride so it was nice not to have horses that just follow the guide and ignore all rider instructions. Once we got to the beach I actually had to hold my horse (Tarzan) back from wanting to trot or canter too much and get ahead of the group. Overall a very nice experience and since most of the ride is through the shade it is not too hot. At least not when we went around 10:00.

The horseback riding experience wasn’t the best. The waiting area is pretty much inside the area where the horses are kept so you are stepping over poop and if you’re lucky to get a chair, you get to sit in it, otherwise stand by it. The group I was in was a large group. We didn’t get any direction on how to maneuver the horse. In my group someone had done it before so she told me what to do. The guide had no interaction with us. Overall, not the best time and if I had to use this experience as a deciding factor to go again, I wouldn’t.

What a fantastic day we had. Took a taxi from the cruise terminal to the beach and we were greeted immediately by the staff. We were assigned a waiter right away who took care of us all day long. Anything we wanted, food, drinks, a perfect day. And it was incredibly reasonable as compared when I tried to book something through the ship. I'm definitely going to make it a habit to come back to this beach club. We went horseback riding and parasailing at the beach the kids absolutely loved it.

Finding this excursion half off compared to the cruise line price was amazing. We had a really good time and our Guide was very friendly and informative. It was a intimate experience because it was just my boyfriend and I along for the ride. We got amazing pictures and learned a lot about the history of Cozumel. The only negative was having to pay full price for entry into the all-inclusive side of the resort. ( which we were under the impression was free with our ticket ) Yes, you did get free entry to the resort but only a very small section could you enjoyed for“ free”, you still had to pay for food & drinks. If you decide to stay and enjoy the resort definitely pay the extra for all inclusive side. If you don’t you will feel like you are missing out. Overall this was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it

30 minute ride including 10 minutes on the beach. Awesome experience for all four of us and it was our first time riding. Our girls absolutely loved every second and the guide and helpers were all friendly and great to us. He even took pictures with our camera which were great. We still decided to buy the photo taken by the photographer as it was not too expensive and had a great and fun picture frame. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and would love to do it again.

Had such a fun time! Our guides were so nice and patient, and even took pictures with our cell phones for us! The trails were partially shaded and we saw lots of creatures. Horses were well trained. The beach area was beautiful. Well worth the money, will definitely do again!

The staff at Mr. Sanchos was very helpful. My son thought he had left his cell phone in the cab or at our hotel. They tried to help us locate the cab, but it was too late. I did not know the number to our hotel, but the gentleman helping us asked around until he found someone that used to work at our hotel and knew the number by heart. We used their phone and we were able to locate the call phone. My son was then thrilled and ready to enjoy his ride. The guide was kind and pointed out interesting things while we rode through the jungle. The first view as we came out of the jungle and onto the beach was breathtaking! The ride was relaxing even though the horses were a little barn sour (EXTREMELY gentle and slow and knew the way without having to give them direction). We are experienced riders so there was no challenge but rest assured you can enjoy the ride if you've never seen a horse much less been on one. The shopping options at Mr. Sanchos were good. We got a great deal on a few things and they even engraved things for us on the spot for no extra charge. All in all a good way to spend the afternoon!

For our last cruise we choose to do the All Inclusive at Mr. Sanchos and my kids wanted to do the horseback riding. It was easy to add this to our package and we saved money too! They have the horses right there at Mr. Sanchos. I was expecting skinny, sad horses but these looked very healthy.
