    For the Dominica Natural Highlights Eco Excursion, you will meet outside the Dominica cruise terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

    Excursion Notes
      • We suggest you bring your snorkel gear, swimsuit, sun protection, towel, waterproof camera, cash for balance payment, tips, souvenirs, food, drinks, etc.
      • Wear sports sandals or tennis shoes that you do not mind to get wet. Snorkel gear is available to rent - $6.00 USD but the operator will provide a flotation vest.
      • Entrance fees are not included, each guest needs to pay $7.00 USD cash added to the balance payment ($2.00 USD at Champagne Reef and $5.00 at the falls, per person).
      • Please pay attention to restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if requirements are not met.
    Excursion Restrictions
    • Minimum participation age is 2 years old.
    • Guest must be able to walk up and down steps and on uneven grounds.
    • Guest must be reasonably fit, have basic swimming skills and comfortable in the ocean to participate in activities.
    • Guests with pre-existing epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, cardiac conditions or any other heart conditions, respiratory conditions or other medical conditions must take particular caution when selecting excursions as it involves swimming/snorkeling elements as such water activities could be subject to adverse conditions such as high winds, waves, and currents.
    • Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying parent.
    • This Dominica Natural Highlights Eco Excursion may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.
    Frequently Asked Questions
    What marine life can I expect to see on Champagne Reef?
    You can expect to see a myriad of sea life possibly including sponges, lobster, parrot fish and a resident population of Hawksbill turtles. But the main attraction is the bubbles!
    How far from the shore do you have to swim to see the Champagne reef?
    The snorkel experience begins about 3 yards from the shore extending out to about 100 yards. Guests may not stand up though to insure the reef is not damaged.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Dominica Natural Highlights Eco Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Dominica Natural Highlights Eco Excursion,we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if:

    • You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
    • Your ship misses/skips the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
    • Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

Our excursion was excellent in every way: the bus, the driver Brandon and our guide, Ali aka Chatterbox! His commentary was informative and fun. Swimming to the waterfall in the cavern was a big highlight as well as our snorkel experience at Champagne Beach. I highly recommend this excursion!

Dominica is one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean and you'll agree with me after this tour. All 3 locations were incredible, and we got to stop at some scenic views for pictures and a snack bar to try local fruits and drinks. Our guide, Alain, was very entertaining and a pleasure to spend the day with. They also provided plenty of water and beer. Heads up: This is a long tour with no lunch break, plan to bring some protein bars or something to hold you over.

Nice overview of the natural beauties of the island. Our guide was very good, but our fellow tourists were spoiled and whiney, especially one lady in the back of the van that wanted to go back early even though our guide was willing to keep us out longer. But as usual, the squeeky wheel gets the grease and we went back to the port. Our group didn't really want to do anything adventurous like climb the rocks at the waterfalls like the German group in front of us was doing. The van was full and cramped but should have been expected for the great price. Overall a good excursion well worth the price, though next time I would probably consider a more private, personalized tour for a little more money.

Just returning from our Princess cruise and one stoped was Dominica. I took this tour with my family and I believe this was the best tour during the whole cruise. I´ve never believed Dominican had beautiful things to show us, and return so impressed about their nature and customs. We learned a lot about their culture and visited gorgeous places. The snorkeling at the champagne reef was awesome. This should be a must-do if you have visiting Dominica, I highly recommended to all!

This is a full day excursion worth booking. It was the best nature experience we could've asked for. The Champagne Reef is so rare! We learned that the bubbles are coming from the sea bed due to volcano activity! We were able to rent the snorkel gear for $6USD and it is a great place to snorkel. There is plenty of fish and coral and we were able to get so many underwater pictures. The Botanical Gardens is such a beautiful location too. We even saw a few people doing wedding photo shoots. We loved visiting Titou Gorge and the waterfalls. The whole excursion was just an amazing experience.

I have nothing but positive comments to say about this excursion. From the moment we met our guides we knew we were going to have an amazing day. Everything went according to plan and schedule. We visited so many places. The Champagne Reef has become my favorite place to snorkel. The reef is close to the shore so there is a lot of coral and sooo many fish. The underwater bubbles make the experience magical. We loved the visit to the waterfalls and the view from the bottom of the falls was amazing. It was a nice place to enjoy the sounds of the cascades and bond with nature. I cannot wait to return!!

There is a place in the cave, where you might say the water is too cold and you won't want to do it.....I say just jump in. Totally worth it!!!! The waterfalls are some of the prettiest that I have ever seen.

During this excursion we were able to experience Dominica's nature at it's best, on land and in water. Our first stop was swimming in Champagne Reef, we rented snorkeling gear for 6USD per person so we could admire the unique marine life found in there. The botanical gardens are very beautiful as well as the gorge. Lastly we went to some waterfalls that were mostly refreshing.Don't forget to bring cash since you have to pay for entrance fees in both of the sites you visit.
