You have 3 options for this parasail excursion. You can fly as a single or with someone else as a tandem or choose to ride along with your group as an observer. You'll meet your guide after a short 5-minute walk from the cruise ship dock. You can feel secure with this excursion since this is the only excursion operator in Los Cabos with all required safety equipment and guide certifications by WSIA, the Water Sports Industry Association.
The parasailing excursion boat holds up to 10 passengers maximum per parasailing shore excursion departure. The boat will motor out into the bay where the flying takes place. When booking, you have the choice of purchasing this parasailing excursion as a solo flyer (going up by yourself) or with a friend as a tandem rider. One by one, you'll be set up in a harness. Then each guest will take turns; you just sit down on the back of the boat and the sail fills with air and you gently lift off the boat deck. With the proper conditions, you can soar up to 600 feet above the bay. Please note that the captain has the final word on the minimum and maximum weight for the wind/water conditions at the moment.
Most of the year Cabo has mainly sunny skies, gentle winds, and warm temperatures making it great for parasailing. As you parasail, you'll see Land's End, at the southern end of Cabo San Lucas and located between Playa del Amor and Playa del Divorcio. You will also have the best view of the legendary Arch! Sea lions live on a rock outcrop next to it and you may see them frolicking there. See Medano Beach lined with hotels, bars, and restaurants.
Whether you fly solo or tandem with a friend, each parasail excursion flight time is approximately 10 minutes from take-off to landing back on the boat. When your flight time is up, the boat winch will reel you back in. You can keep dry or choose to skim the water on your return; just tell the captain what you prefer! Once your turn is completed, the next passenger will have theirs, and so on until all guests on the boat have flown. There is also the option for observers to ride along - they can watch you fly, and take photos of you but do not do the activity. This is great for those in your group who would rather stay on the boat but don't want to miss out on watching the fun.
Take advantage of the beautiful weather and views from above the waves in Cabo San Lucas. Bring your camera for lots of bird's eye photos and wonderful memories but make sure it is on a good strap! Once your parasail shore excursion comes to an end, you'll be returned to your original meeting point close to your Cabo San Lucas cruise ship tender pier or simply stay at the beach and return on your own.
