    Meeting Point

    For this St Maarten Parasailing Excursion, you will meet directly at Orient Bay, just a short taxi ride from your ship pier. All details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.


    What is included?

    Excursion Notes
      • We suggest you bring a swimsuit or comfortable clothing, towel, sun protection, camera, cash for additional purchases, tips, taxi cost, food, drinks, etc.
      • Bring a ziplock plastic bag for your electronic devices or a waterproof case if planning to use a cell phone or camera during this excursion.
      • Parasail time is 10-12 minutes per flight (from take-off to landing).
      • The excursion captain has the final say regarding maximum and minimum weights to parasail, according to the wind conditions at the moment. 
      • If your flight is canceled by the operator, please contact us within 14 days of the scheduled excursion for your refund.
      • Taxi cost is not included.
    Excursion Restrictions
    • A life jacket is required at all times.
    • The minimum participation age is 3 years old.
    • This excursion is not allowed for guests with limited mobility.
    • Maximum weight is 445lbs (200Kg) - the captain has the final say according to wind conditions at the time.
    • The minimum weight to fly solo is 125lbs (55Kg).
    • There is no minimum age to pay as an observer but the ride can be bumpy and not appropriate for smaller children.
    • Participants under 18 years old need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
    • Note that guests must be able to ride on the jet ski out to the waiting parasailing boat and climb onto the boat.

    Frequently Asked Questions
    Do you need any prior parasailing experience in order to participate in this St. Maarten excursion?
    Absolutely Not! If you can sit, you can parasail!
    How long will I be in the air?
    Each flight is approximately 10-12 minutes from take-off to landing. You will be "flying" for approximately 5 minutes, with approximately 3-4 minutes to get all the way up and 3-4 minutes to get down. Flight time is the same for single or double riding.
    Do we have to be able to swim?
    No. All parasail take-offs and landings are done from a platform on the back of the boat. The captain will only "dip" guests into the water if they request.
    Can I bring my camera?
    We recommend you leave your regular camera on land to prevent any damage on the boat ride or flight, but it is welcome at your own risk. Waterproof or disposable cameras are recommended.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the St. Maarten Parasailing at Orient Bay Beach to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the St. Maarten Parasailing at Orient Bay Beach,we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if:

    • You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
    • Your ship misses/skips the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
    • Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

This was by far the best excursion of this trip and rates as one of the best we've ever done. The guys and gal that work here are awesome and made us feel incredibly welcome. My teenagers parasailed while my husband and I stayed in the boat ... so much fun watching them enjoy themselves. It was incredibly wavy while we were there so we had some problems getting out to the boat on the jet ski, and I commend the guys on the jet skis for how they handled the situation. When we were done parasailing, we rented a couple very comfortable beach chairs for $10 each and enjoyed a few hours in St. Maarten. Drink service on the beach and a great little restaurant (good food, very slow service) right there as well. Highly highly recommend this excursion. One word of advice -- the taxi will try to drop you off at the main entrance to Orient Beach. Apparently they have a deal with the local restaurant that's located there. Do not let him drop you there. It's about a mile walk down the beach to the location you need to go to. I questioned the drop off with the driver and he said "it's right there." It wasn't ... so learn from our mistakes. :) It's also easy to get a taxi back to the ship from right behind the parasailing stand.

We did the tandem parasail. Weather was perfect and the water was beautiful. The 2 guys on the boat were very friendly and the jet ski ride to and from the boat was fun too!
