A LOT of driving Friendswood

This excursion was a lot of driving. Our guide Glen made us feel very safe while taking us on a very long drive. The excursion does not take you to the Pitons. It takes you to a restaurant that has an incredible view of the Pitons.

I chose this tour because it offered a lot of what I wanted to see in St. Lucia that the cruise ship tours didn't offer. Marcus was our tour guide and he was so full of information about the towns, geography, plants and people of the island. We were able to see so much of the variety of things St. Lucia has to offer.

A great taste of the rural St. Lucia with our great guide, Elvis. It was a lot of riding on winding mountain and rural roads but the view of the Pitons was worth it! We learned lots of interesting facts about growing bananas, the art of batik and chocolate making, and the history of the island. Elvis let us stop and buy a bunch of ripe bananas to eat in the van. Delicious! Included a stop where we were served some local snacks. Fun!

Elvis was a great driver/guide. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The vehicle was in good shape, we had 8 people total on this tour. At the cruise terminal, the host to meet us could not be found. She did show up just after 9:00 am and we were on our way. Overall this was a great way to see St. Lucia!!

An unforgettable experience is what I keep from this excursion. Usually, is all about sightseeing and commercial shopping, but this excursion is more focused on showing the beauty of nature and life at St. Lucia, of course, I took hundreds of pictures at the Pitons but the most memorable part was the rural village portion where we could see colorful houses, smiley people along the way... All the experience is perfect. Thumbs up! I will come back, for sure.
