You will meet outside your Taino Bay Cruise Center for a brief ride to your destination. As you drive through the historic district of Puerto Plata and along the oceanfront, your guide will point out the places of interest and share some of the local histories. Puerto Plata is known for some of the most beautiful beaches in the entire country, with Playa Dorada being the most famous and well-maintained.
Arriving at the famous luxury Blue JackTar Hotel, your host will lead you to Playa Dorada where you will have a brief orientation. Your host will remain nearby the entire time in case you have any questions or require service. Perhaps you want to settle in a lounge chair on the beach, please note these are first-come-first-serve but don't worry they are plenty, splash in the blue ocean, or snooze in the shade. The use of facilities at Blue JackTar are included - lounge chairs, umbrellas (First-come-first-serve), and even WiFi at the hotel and beach area. Blue JackTar is not a typical beach hotel. This luxury facility is also well known for its 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and boasts outstanding customer service and clean, safe grounds within the gated community.
After warming up in the sun, you can jump in the ocean for a refreshing swim, or maybe purchase a bite to eat at the beach bar or one of the many onsite restaurants. There, you will find something to satisfy your palate and appetite. There is something for everyone to enjoy. Choose from appetizers, ceviche, salads, Mexican food, pasta, burgers, seafood, and more. There are several full-service bars onsite to purchase soft drinks, water, alcoholic beverages, etc. The attentive staff will even serve you at your lounger if you wish.
After plenty of beach time and enjoyment, you will ride back to the Taino Bay, Puerto Plata Cruise Center. You will even have time to enjoy the Taino Bay Cruise Center before returning to your ship. Or maybe you'll just be too exhausted from all the fun and sun you had!
