    What happens if I miss my Cozumel Private Island Excursions with Driver and Guide departure because the ship arrives late?

    This excursion can be operated in rain or shine, most of the rain is just temporary and the sun comes out again after 5 minutes.  
    May I take this Cozumel Island Excursion if I'm confined to a wheelchair or scooter?
    Yes, it might be possible but please contact us so we can make special arrangements.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Cozumel Private Island Excursion with Driver and Guide to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Cozumel Private Island Excursion with Driver and Guide, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

Great island tour Kendrick

We had Freddy as a tour guide. He called once we got to port to let us know where to meet at. He greeted all of us then loaded us in the van. It was nice to have a step to get in and out if you have trouble getting in vehicles. He was very informative about the island, made some suggestions for us since it was hot when we got there, took us to a beach resort that wasn't packed so we could walk out to the water. We paid $3 to see 1 ruin and a church. We were the only ones there and didn't have vendors everywhere. If you can't walk far this is a great alternative to the other ruins that are long walks and uneven ground.the only thing I was disappointed in was the back side of the island. We got out to walk around the rock formation, there was trash everywhere and even seen a capped needle laying in the seaweed on the beach. Compared to 5 yrs ago it is not taken care well anymore.we still made the best of it and got great pictures. We then headed back to town and ate lunch at a local restaurant. The guacamole was great. Then walked to q small tequila factory where we tasted 6 different tequilas. Freddy was great at answering any questions and making suggestions. He took pictures for us several times. We had a group of 9 and was comfortable in the van.

Used Freddie as our tour and private guide. He spoke both English/Spanish and was very friendly and informative. He took us to different areas of the island. We got to see Mayan Ruins, take photos at various spots, did a tequila tasting tour and had time for a snack/drink plus time to jump in for a swim. Highly recommend Freddy.

First of all, Freddy is a great guide, friendly and will cater the excursion to what you want to do. We made several stops while driving around the island. My favorite stop was a tequila tasting area. It was educational and fun and the tequila was really good. We were able to stop and take pictures along our way around the island. This is a relaxing excursion. I think we ate at Punta Morena which I wouldn't recommend. The service was really slow and quite a few vendors trying to sell you stuff. That was the only negative, everything else was A+

We hired Freddie for a custom trip around Cozumel. As many times as I've been to Cozumel, I've never seen the whole island. Freddie took us to some places to learn about tequila making, sample peanut butter tequila, see the ocean, and even to a well know black coral shop. He was very friendly and informative! He took us to Casa Mission to eat and the food was AMAZING! Our group really enjoyed our tour with him! Totally recommend!

Our tour guide, Freddie, was awesome! He was never in a rush and made sure we were comfortable and having a good time. We had a wheelchair and Freddie insisted on loading and unloading himself at each stop! We were taken all over the island and stopped for pictures whenever we wanted. He took us for local shopping in addition. We would definitely book again and hope Freddie was our guide!!

Freddy was fantastic, and was the key to a great experience in Cozumel. He was there waiting for us when we arrived at the taxi station with a sign with our name on it, and it just got better from there. We gave him our rough plan for the day, including stops and activities, and he made suggestions along the way that were perfect. He was flexible and accommodating, and was always ready when we finished with an activity to take us to our next stop. We went to San Gervasio, explored a bit of the beaches on the east side of the island, and then followed his recommendation to a great restaurant away from all the main tourist attractions, which was excellent. A quick stop at a less crowded souvenir shop and good company all along the way. Can't wait to get back and spend some time with Freddy again--we'd go back just for him it was that good.

We had an exceptional experience with our driver/guide. We had him and an air conditioned van for just my wife and me. This was our first visit to Cozumel. He took us to some great sites to visit and to take pictures. He was born and raised in Cozumel and is very proud of the island that he's from. This is the best choice that we have made on our entire cruise and I would highly recommend this excursion!

Our group of 6 had a wonderful time exploring the island with our wonderful private driver named Freddie. He is so friendly and knowledgeable. His English was really good and we loved having a guide that we were able to completely understand. We customize our stops and saw what we wanted, spend the time on each location as we desired. We wanted to skip the beach and went to the more historic, cultural spots. Simply the best company we ever used before and had what they promised we should have.

Freddie picked us up at the port on time in a clean, well air-conditioned van that was roomy and comfortable for the 7 of us. We had never been to Cozumel before and Freddie showed us the wonder and beauty of the island. We traveled all around, seeing beautiful beaches, shorelines, fancy resorts and even a crocodile! We went to a small marketplace, a chocolate factory and a tequila factory! We also had a wonderful lunch. Somehow we did it all in five hours without feeling rushed! We would do this tour again!

We were picked up by Freddie from the Carnival port on time. Our ride was very clean and comfortable. Freddie brought us to many sites on Cozumel and we all had a wonderful time doing just what we wanted to do for as long as we wanted. Very economical and secure way to tour the island. My group of 14 thoroughly enjoyed our drive around Cozumel with Freddie. He was helpful, informative, friendly and flexible. He took us to all the places we requested and took us to different local spots one might now normally think about, like a stop to see what an old Mayan house looks like. Let me preface my review by saying that I am a veteran world traveler. With deep gratitude I am writing that our guide, Freddy, gave us the most enjoyable tour I have ever experienced. First our ship disembarked early and my wife and I were afraid we would have to wait for over an hour for the tour to begin. To our great delight, Freddy arrived about 45 minutes early, ready and eager holding up a sign with our name on it. Driving us around in his very roomy taxi, Freddy was very professional. He provided a very steady hand at the wheel, sharing interesting stories and information about the island. I am an enthusiastic shutterbug, and in addition to the recommended highlights of the island, Freddy was always accommodating to my requests to stop the taxi so that I can take my photos of Cozumel’s wildlife and the beautiful beaches and shoreline. Thank you, ready steady Freddy!

Our driver stopped anywhere we wanted to and was ready to go when we were. Perfect for our group of 4 since we stopped at unusual locations for just a few minutes. Appreciated the extra stop when our driver spotted a crocodile sunning just a bit off the road.

Our driver Jose was friendly and very accommodating. Picked us up in an air conditioned taxi from our meeting place where I realized I had lost my camera somewhere between the boardwalk and our taxi ride to meet Jose. He took us back to the last store we were in but wasn't there. We moved on and just considered it gone. While touring the ruins Jose got on the phone with his boss and they found my camera on the board walk and took us to the ladies house that found it to retrieve it. We couldn't believe it. Enjoyed it very much.

Our professional guide was Russell Bazea and to put it simply - this was the best tour yet! We met at the exact place and time as instructed. We have been to Cozumel at least 6 times in two years and this was by far the most enjoyable. Russell is a gentleman, proud of his heritage and loves to share his knowledge of the island. We love taking photos and he obliged us and we got some fantastic shots of the beaches on the east side. Had a delicious lunch and libation at Coconuts. What a beautiful day! Thanks Russell for making our vacation much sweeter.

Jose, our guide was wonderful. Offered suggestions on where we might go but listened us on our interests as well. Some minor complaints would be that tour company did not keep track of our cruise ships arrival time and/or correct port location. Ship was scheduled to arrive at 10:00 but was running late and didn't dock till 11:00. No problem for us since we arrived at our preset meeting location at 11:20 for our scheduled 11:30 appointment. No one was there. Luckily we had our cell phone and were able to call them with the number given. Jose arrived and we were on our way when I notice his car clock showing the time was 1 hour ahead of ship time. Ship time was out of Galveston so CST. We assumed that Cozumel is almost surely in CST according to all the maps I've ever looked at. So if you book out of Texas beware. Price is reasonable if you can come up with four passengers which we were unable to do. Again hats off to Jose!
