    For this Cozumel Custom Private Jeep Sightseeing, Snorkel, and Beach Club Excursion with Lunch, you will meet your guide just across the street from your cruise ship terminal in Cozumel. All necessary information will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.


    What is included?
    • Jeep Wrangler Convertible (automatic and standard versions available)
    • Full vehicle insurance
    • English-speaking private jeep shore excursion guide
    • Snorkel set including varied-sized fins, sanitized snorkel, silicone mask, and vest
    • 45 min guided snorkel tour (may be substituted for another location depending on the ocean and weather conditions)
    • The reduced entrance fee to National Park Punta Sur of $11.00 USD per participant (adults and children) is not included (or a different park if you choose, see notes for more information)
    • Beverages such as purified bottled water and beer - cooler in the guide's Jeep
    • Mexican Style Lunch (on the East side of the island or depending on the weather, the west side) - beef, chicken, or fish fajitas, tacos, guacamole, etc. Drinks are not included at lunch. Guests can pay the difference and get something else off the menu.

      • Each Jeep holds up to 4 people.
      • We suggest you bring along sun protection, a change of clothes, a swimsuit, a camera, cash, etc.
      • For safety reasons, snorkeling locations may be substituted due to weather or ocean conditions.
      • The private Cozumel Jeep excursion itinerary, as well as the stops, may be adjusted based on the conditions of the day to allow for the best experience.
      • If you require a car seat, please indicate at the time of booking. The car seat will take up one adult space in the Jeep.
      • Arrangements for an automatic transmission Jeep must be made at the time of the booking (please add to notes during the booking process).
    • Not available on Sundays

    • There is a minimum of 2 adults needed for this Cozumel private sightseeing excursion by Jeep.
    • The minimum age to drive a Jeep is 21 years old - all those wishing to drive must have their valid driver's license with them.
    • All guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult/guardian participating in this excursion.
    • This Cozumel shore excursion is not allowed for guests with limited mobility, heart conditions, breathing issues, epilepsy, or any other illness that prevents their safe participation.
    • Please discuss your plans for the day with the guide at the beginning of the excursion as backtracking to some sights may not be possible due to distance and time left.

    Is this Cozumel Jeep Excursion going to be bumpy and tiring?
    The roads used for this private Jeep excursion are paved, however, inside Punta Sur Eco Park you will drive on a sandy road (if this destination is chosen as part of the excursion). But please remember you will be riding in a Jeep, so yes, it can be bumpy.
    Is it hard to drive a Jeep Wrangler in Cozumel?
    It is very easy. Please add a note to your reservation if you require an automatic transmission Jeep.
    If I do not wish to snorkel, can I just relax at the beach?
    Yes absolutely, it is not mandatory to join the guided snorkeling part of this Cozumel Jeep cruise excursion. The pricing remains the same.
    Can I do both - Punta Sur and San Gervasio Mayan Ruins?
    Yes, this is your customizable excursion. If you want to do both stops, the cost to get into San Gervasio is $10.00 USD per person. The entrance fee at Punta Sur is $11.00 USD per participant (adults and children).
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Cozumel Custom Private Jeep Sightseeing, Snorkel, and Beach Club Excursion with Lunch to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Cozumel Custom Private Jeep Sightseeing, Snorkel, and Beach Club Excursion with Lunch, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.

Was hesitant about booking this bc I didn’t see any good reviews recently… but so glad we did! It was a very rainy day in Cozumel when our Ship docked. It’s a little walk outside the gate, located in the Mayan Palace. We found BiBi our tour guide which initially asked what we liked and what we wanted to do. We told her whatever the weather would allow us to do, and that’s what she did! We visited a little drink shack on the other side of the island which had the best fresh margaritas, then drove around the island site seeing. The included lunch was in front of a very nice hotel and they let us pick quesadillas, fajitas, tacos and they severed us beach side. The rain cleared and got to do the most wonderful snorkeling and she had snorkel gear loaded up already for us to use ! After we did tequila tasting with Edwardo who was super nice too. BiBi is the bomb so ask for her if you end up doing this. My kids 6 and 4 were also with us!

Yousef was very kind and personable. Getting to the meeting point was sketchy and confusing. The jeep was nice on the outside but seats were rundown. We drove through cozumel to the other side of the island and stopped at a little tent area to shop but the woman was very pushy and we felt trapped after we said no about 20 times. Finally told the guide we wanted to leave. We arrived to a very tiny resort where the staff pushed with every little thing to be tipped. We literally turned in our snorkeling gear and he asked for tip just cause we turned it in. The food was very good. Snorkeling was neat but the area was all rocks and no beach area to walk in sand. I truly feel like my money was wasted and several times throughout the excursion I felt unsafe or uncomfortable due to the people mainly. I would not go again.

We were late getting to meeting spot. Guide was awesome. We were able to see everything we wanted to see. Went to cenote for $12 and were the only ones there. Went snorkeling for our first time and gave us a great time. Food was good. Highly recommend.

We loved our guide Joseph! He was amazing. He took us around Cozumel and gave us the history. We did tequila tasting, cocoa making and ended our day with lunch and snorkeling. We cant wait to come back again!!! The jeep was beautiful, food was delicious.

Our ship was an hour late docking. Miguel waited for us. He came with one vehicle, but when we said we wanted our own vehicle (without him) he accommodated us. He showed us a map of the island with lots of suggested stops. We then selected the stops WE wanted to make. I LOVE LOVED this excursion.

We absolutely LOVED this tour, and our guide Katy!!!! Getting to see so much of the island one on one with Katy was the BEST! I have always heard that the east side of the island is even more beautiful than the port side, and it did not disappoint. You are missing out on a treat, if you don't book this excursion on your trip to Cozumel. I will say to us, paying the extra $12 each to see the Cenote wasn't worth it. It was kinda neat to see, but not $24 worth. Katy, come see us if you are ever in \"Mississippi Mexico\"! 🤣 .

We are a family of 4. We have 9 and 12yo boys. we were on a cruise and chose this excursion as a family. The meeting spot was a little confusing but the guides came at 9am like they said with very professional shirts with “trip advisor” logos on them. we met our guide and walked to the jeep.Jerry was our guide and I cannot begin to say how great he was with my family and boys. He brought us to a spot and we talked about how we wanted the tour to go. He told my boys stories about him growing up on the island and how he used to jump into the water and his fishing adventures. we then talked about how amazing it would be to go fishing from the shore and he made it happen!!!!! My oldest son still is talking about it. they did not catch anything but just the fact that he tried to make that happen for us was absolutely amazing. after fishing we drove to the snorkel spot and had lunch. The fish were amazing and Jerry was very careful to make sure we were safe snorkeling. My husband actually went swimming with his cell phone in his pocket by mistake and after we were out having lunch Jerry showed up with a bag of rice to try to save his cellphone.... AND IT WORKED!!!! All the staff were amazing and friendly and informative. I will always book tours with shore excursioneer from now on if I go on another cruise.... I want the local companies to get my $$.... the cruise boat has gotten enough already!!!! What a great way to “sub contract” local companies to get them business! We loved it and Jerry was just awesome! Thanks for such a great day.

This excursion was worth it 10 times over. Our tour guide was Youssef and he took care of us the entire time and shared his knowledge of the island. He took us to good spots for refreshments, lunch, and sightseeing. We asked him to take us to a local shopping spot and he came inside and translated for us too. The one small thing to be aware of is our reservation time was different than our ship time so be aware if you’re cruising. The great thing though is Youssef waited for us, even though we were nearly an hour late. It was great personal attention and we weren’t on a time schedule (except to board the ship). Don’t hesitate on booking this excursion because you won’t be disappointed.

Had a group of 8. It was a great day. The tequila factory tour was great and it ended with some of the best snorkeling ever Pros: easy to find, easy to get started, David our guide was great. The snorkeling spot was incredible, lunch was good. Plenty of water and beer for the day provided Cons: the Jeep’s has tops, all paved roads, and no beach at the snorkel spot. We had two young kids who just wanted some beach time. So if there are some in your group who don’t snorkel keep this in mind. No drinks included with lunch, they wouldn’t let us bring the drinks provided into the resort. All in all a good and the memories from the drive and snorkeling will leave a positive memory

Yosseth, was awesome! We were a little lost on where to go, so he was very informative and suggested the most popular attractions, which were not disappointing. The snorkeling portion was AMAZING !, lots to see, but I suggest you take water shoes, after all it is the reef and less sandy ! If you ever go to Cozumel, this is the way to go ! Very pleased !,

Went on this tour a little over year ago with just us and it was fantastic! We t Keith friends this year & suggested we do it again based on the great time last year. Our guide, Miguel was great but now the charge additional fees everywhere you go. Last time it was all included. So bring extra $ for entry to the park & tours. Jeep was in poor condition. Water was rough so we went to a beach break area to snorkel, saw fish but it was just ok. We do recommend stopping at Miami! Great drinks & fresh sevichie!

One you get to the place of meeting it's great! You have to walk a little but nothing too bad. The Jeep was great and we'll kept as well. Arturo was awesome! Very knowledgeable of places to go and the culture of Mexico. Super easy to work with and took us to some awesome spots! Me and my husband will recommend this tour to everyone! Ask for Arturo!

Just returning from our vacation and really grateful for having the opportunity to visit you all! The island itself is beautiful with a lot of highlights to visit. We took this tour as we liked to customize our day. The guide was professional and he showed a map with the highlight of the island and give us the opportunity to choose where to go. I really like him, because he never pushed us to visit any place, in particular, he talked about so many places and what they offer and we plan our day. We visited the old town of el cedral, had a tequila tour, visited the chocolate factory, the malecon area (the main venue, this is what they called) and also have time to snorkel from shore. We have drinks along our day and had lunch on the east side of the island. We really loved this tour and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Went on a Jeep tour with Rocky and it was awesome. At first I thought we would drive the Jeep by was pleasantly surprised that we had a very knowledgeable driver. Paid a few bucks extra for the light house tour but the lunch and beach at that spot was awesome. Plus you save $4 a person if you do it thru the company to see the light house. Request Rocky and you won’t be disappointed, look forward to going back.

Loved this excursion! Our guide took us to a tequila tasting in which they greeted us with a handmade margarita to drink on while we took the tour. We tasted several types of tequila and learned what they are made of. We were then offered another tequila drink made with fruits and in a souvenir cup for $9 that we bought for my son to take on the road with us. We toured the island with our guide leading us in his car and then ended up at the resort to snorkel and eat lunch (drinks not included). Food was great! After snorkeling, he offered to let us hang out at the resort for a while or head back and we chose to head back to do some shopping in Cozumel. Everything was based on our wants and needs and the guide was just there to assist in anything we needed. He even guided us while we snorkeled. I would absolutely do this Jeep excursion again.

We rented 3 jeeps for our group and Daniel was the best!!! He was very accommodating and helped us choose our route and destinations. The tequila tour was a great idea to start the tour with! The scenery was absolutely beautiful and the beach was the perfect getaway we needed. Our guide was Nacho and he was AWESOME!!! He let us customize as we went, he let us start early and he was knowledgeable and informative and spoke excellent English. We had the lobster supper - which was the best lobster I had ever eaten. We went snorkeling and the fish were amazing!

Great excursion. We had 3 adults and 2 kids so we had to drive the Jeep but we followed jorge who was our tour guide. He was awesome. We started with the tequila tour which was more private and educational a big bus pulled up as we were leaving. From there we went to a part of the beach with blow holes that were really cool. After that we went to the resort beach to have lunch and snorkel. The food was ok and had to pay for drinks. The excursion provided with beer, soda, and water for the ride. A guy took several pictures underwater while snorkeling. They did have several shops to shop at were we picked up the Jeep. The instructions to meet Jorge was easy but we did have a little walk to him and then to the Jeep but not bad. I would highly recommend this excursion and request Jorge.

We took this private jeep and snorkel excursion with lunch on 06/28/2018. Our tour guide was Danny and he was terrific. We met at Hooters in Cozumel, and we were off. Our first stop was a private tequila factor where we had a private tour, which included samples. We then drove to a cove where we saw alligators. Our final stop was private beach where we were served a delicious lunch. After snorkeling for several hours, we were back to the dock. Danny was a wonderful guide and spent a great deal of time giving us the Country's history. He is truly an asset to the ShoreExcusioneer Company.

Our guide Fernando meet us up on Senor Frog. Love this excursion as it is so private (just 2 of us and the guide) and he takes you wherever you want . Our guide was awesome and he made sure we got nice snorkel equipment and made sure were safe throughout the excursion.

We booked this trip after I resurched for month until I thought I found what we were looking for. Roberto our tour guide did not disappoint, he was amazing. We had a little trouble meeting up but that’s only because of us being unfamiliar with the meeting area we just kept asking until someone pointed us in the right direction and Raberto was there waiting for us. Carnival does a great job promoting their sponcered trips but if you book an outside company your pretty much on your own to figure out where you need to be but the locals are mostly happy to point you in the right direction. Once we met we walked a couple blocks to our Jeep. We started off snorkeling which was right in town but we were all amazed how beautiful the fish were right off shore. We were allowed to go at our own pace which was very nice. I have MD and with my husbands help was able to enjoy this adventure with my family just a few steps to maneuver to see the beauty of the sea. Next we went to a very yummy lunch tried some local beer which my husband and son enjoyed. Nice family with a local atmosphere. Then we went to the tequila tasting which was fun and very informative last we set out for punta sur Park...breathtakingly beautiful drive and visit. We have been in many cruise excursions and this one is at the top of the list for us. Don’t be afraid to book with private companies while cruising the local companies accomadate just as well as sponsored cruise companies. I know I’m spelling Roberto’s name wrong and I’m sorry but we really recommend this tour if your looking for a fun wind in your hair Jeep tour.

THIS WAS A TOP NOTCH DAY WITH AN AMAZING GUIDE "JULIO" THE DAY STARTED OFF WITH JULIO ASKING US WHAT DID WE WANT TO DO WITH OUR DAY. HE EXPLAINED ALL THE DIFFERENT OPTIONS WE HAD. JULIO SAID "YOU TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT TO DO AND FOR HOW LONG AND I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN" HIS SUGGESTION WERE PERFECT FOR OUR FAMILY, WE FIRST WENT TO THE TEQUILA TASTING AND MAN WAS IT GOOD. THEN OFF TO ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING BEACHES YOU COULD EVER WISH FOR. NEXT WAS A STOP FOR A QUICK BITE TO EAT AND THE BEST DRINKS ON THE ISLAND. JULIO BROUGHT US TO THE ECO PARK WITH THE LIGHT HOUSE, HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE ISLAND. NEXT WAS A GREAT LITTLE RUIN SITE ON THE WAY OUT. OUR LAST STOP WAS FOR AN AMAZING LUNCH AND SWIM BEFORE HEADING BACK TO THE SHIP. THE ONE THING I WOULD LIKE TO STRESS IS THAT JULIO WAS ALWAYS ASKING US HOW WE WERE ENJOYING OUR DAY AND HE COULD NOT DO ENOUGH FOR US TO MAKE OUR DAY THE BEST WE COULD OF HAD. FOR THE PRICE YOU CAN'T FIND ANYTHING BETTER. I HOPE THAT IF YOU CHOOSE THIS TOUR YOU GET "JULIO" HE IS A ROCK STAR TOUR GUIDE.

We've done this specific jeep tour 3 times when visiting Cozumel with various friends or family members. Why do we keep coming back? Good value, lots of flexibility. This time, we arrived with family, met the Excursion group just outside of the Puerto Maya cruise terminal, and were escorted approximately 2 blocks to a parking garage where they got us our Jeep. Since there were 5 in our party, they got us a larger than normal jeep that would seat us all in relative comfort. As it happened, our guide was Eric, who we had the pleasure of guiding us previously. Our original plan was to drive out to the 'wild side' and spend some time on the gorgeous and unspoiled beaches on Cozumel's "non-touristy" side. But, we decided to do the chocolate factory tour first, instead. Very nice, informative and pleasant, with fun chocolate sampling. Then out to the wild side, with Eric guiding us from his vehicle ahead. Unfortunately, a front moved in and it started to pour down rain. Skipped the beach, but it had stopped by the time we reached the blowholes, so we spent some time there, then down to "Bar Miami", a ramshackle beach bar where you sit in hammocks sipping on delicious handmade drinks (try the Mojito, their's is probably the best I've had) while watching the waves/beach. It was covered, so we could linger there for quite a while before the rain finally drove us onward. Next stop was Punta Sur, up the lighthouse, through the museum. Eric took us on a trail we never would have thought to take ourselves, which lead out to a Cenote and some lounging crocodiles. Very nice! Rain caught up with us again, so it was off to where we were supposed to have dinner and snorkel. We ate first, hoping the rain would slack off, but it didn't. Dinner was tasty. Debated going snorkelling in the rain (hey, we'd be wet anyway) but decided against it, didn't favor getting out soaking wet in the rain and wind...not an appealing thought. Instead, we modified the trip again and went to a better-than-most Tequila tour. Understand, they don't make Tequila on Cozumel, but the do have several places where they explain the process and have you sample (and hopefully purchase) their products. Tour was better than the last one we'd gone on, and the Tequila was surprisingly good, and cheaper than the last tour we went on. Ok, so you may say that we didn't get the time at the beach we wanted, and we didn't get the snorkeling in we wanted, so why 5 stars? Well, Eric was a great guide, he was happy to modify the tour so we could do more than just sit somewhere looking at the rain, and he did everything he could to make the jeep tour as enjoyable as he could, weather permitting, and based on those things we were interested in doing. Also (and this is important!), we saw people on dune buggy tours who were soaked!!! Also on other jeep tours where the tops wouldn't close completely, and some of them were soaked, too! We were snug and dry in our jeep, which was awfully nice. In short, the weather didn't cooperate for us, or anyone doing a tour on Cozumel that day, but the tour was still very enjoyable. As I mentioned earlier, we've used this organization twice before when in Cozumel, and they have always delivered a pleasant, worry-free tour.

We had a lot of fun on this tour and got a good experience of Cozumel in the 5 to 6 hrs that we had. Our guide Julio accommodated all our requests and customized the tour to our needs. He was very courteous, helpful and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We saw some amazing scenery,visited a very nice and non crowded beach, visited the Punta Sur park where the views from the lighthouse are a must see. My daughter wanted to see the Mayan chocolate factory for which we did pay a separate entrance fee. But this was explained to us in the beginning of tour that with certain add-ons we would have to pay the admission fees. In itself the tour had plenty of options that were included.We were allowed to tour at our own pace and did not feel rushed at any point. We couldn't do snorkeling due to rough weather. Lunch was good, right at seaside. The jeep was in good condition. The guide drove his vehicle in front of us and was very easy to follow. Overall I would strongly recommend this tour and guide Julio.

A great way to explore Cozumel Burnsville, MN

I have been to Cozumel several times and consider it one of my very favorite islands. On this occasion it was a one day stop on a cruise ship. We chose this Jeep excursion for this visit and are very satisfied with our experience. Due to heavy seas, we were not able to snorkel on this trip, but that did not take anything away from the experience as we have snorkeled Cozumel many times in the past. We had a group of eight travelers and traveled around the island in two jeeps. Our personal tour guide was Eric. Eric was great. He loves the island and its history. He is young, energetic, knowledgeable and passionate about Cozumel. He split time riding in each jeep while we drove. We toured a chocolate factory, a tequila distillery and a beautiful beach before sitting down to a delicious lunch in a beachside restaurant. We returned to the cruise port in plenty of time to do some shopping. For a one day stop in Cozumel I do not hesitate to highly recommend this excursion. It was a great way to explore the island.

But...we didn't really get to choose our own excursion. The guide asked what we wanted to do and we told him of course. But he took us to several places that seemed like tourist traps. The place we had lunch was different than what the excursion says and we were approached repeatedly by people selling items while trying to enjoy our lunch, which was rushed on a crowded deck. Our favorite part was Punta Sur. The views are breathtaking. And we enjoyed just exploring the island in our rented Jeep. Cozumel is such a small island, if you have a GPS, I'm certain you could pull off this excursion on your own by renting a vehicle and deciding your adventure in advance. Whatever you do, you'll have a great time!

We had only one day in Cozumel on a cruise stop. We had booked excursions through Shore Excursioneer in the past and this looked like a nice day trip. There were 8 in our group so we had 2 jeeps and Eric as our guide. We first talked about what sounded like fun for our group. We had brought snorkel equipment with us and had intended to snorkel, but it was quite windy and rough and we decided to forego snorkeling. We went to a small chocolate factory for a tasting tour, stopped for tequila tasting and learned everything there is to know about tequila. We saw the San Gervasio ruins (skip these if you have ever been to Chichenitza or Tulum) and stopped for a short walk on a beautiful beach. We enjoyed lunch of fajitas and chips at a beachside restaurant and had a great day. Eric was a terrific guide and made our day memorable.

We meet our guide not too far from port, we felt safe walking the block and half to meet them. Our guide was Julio and he was super nice and let us do what we wanted in our own time. He never rushed us or made us feel hurried. I felt Bad when his car broke down but he did not bat an eye and jumped in to our Jeep and off we went! He took us to some truly amazing and gorgeous places! I mean Just breath taking! Ask for Julio and you would’t Be disappointment. For $70 a person we got so much. The Jeep looked nice but you could tell they have been ran to death but really what do you expect when random people are driving your stuff everyday. P.S. he made sure we had water every time we stopped and i thought That was great since we had my parents and 8 year old daughter and it was hot did not want them to get over heated!!
