    For the Progreso Private Merida City Sightseeing and Shopping Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.

TERRIBLE Clever

Activity level says low. It far from low. Get ready to walk lots. We were asked where we wanted to go. We said to see highlights of town and to shopping and a local good restaurant and to a bakery. Van sliding door won't stay shut, a/c didn't work. We go see monument in middle of round a bout. Then we are taken to a parking lot where we leave the van and driver. Our tour guide Fernando says we will walk over here to the City Square. There was some shopping there but they really didn't want to take our usd. So we didn't get to see the catherdal it was closed. So we just keep walking. It was very hot and humid. I told Fernando we had 2 ppl with hip problems and we couldn't wal much more. He kept saying just to next corner to next corner. Mexican restaurant was in the middle of ghetto town 5 miles from our van. Noone spoke English. Was over charged for our food. Was told it was 13.00 usd but then waiter came back and said 20 usd, Fernando acted like he didn't know why the difference. We were ready to leave and asked Fernando to call our van driver. Oh low n behold he didn't have the number for him. We had to van 5 miles back to the van. We wanted bottle water once in van but there was none. We finally made it to a 7-11 they only took pecos. By then we were ready to get to the ship. No bakery no shopping. WORST TOUR EVER. I have complained to shoreexcursioneer in email and 3 phone calls to no results. So I decided to make a review on this excursion.

Our guide and driver were awesome! They took us into Marida to exactly where we wanted to go. We asked to go to a market that the locals went to and were not disappointed. If you want to go anywhere this is the group to hire.

Jorge our tour guide was not very good. He was nervous. Only spoke to a few of us at one time. He cannot handle large groups. He was not comfortable taking us shopping in the local markets or streets. Made it awkward for us as vacationers. Lunch was excellent Erik the driver was excellent

Philippe was our tour guide, very nice and personable. He was on time. and showed is some amazing architect in Merida. Lunch was awesome, and the ice cream shop was to die for. Awesome time !!

We took the shore excursion on 1/5/2017 and it was great! Our tour guide PRISCILA was wonderful She explained so much and answered any questions that any tourists asked. Enjoyed seeing the city of Merida and hearing the history of the city. It is well worth the cost and the food that we were served was very good. Everyone that was connected with the excursion were very professional and made it very enjoyable. Thank you!

This excursion was perfect! We had a nice drive from Progreso to Merida. Our guide Eduardo was very informative and extremely nice. We had ample shopping time. The market is something I have never seen before, the church was so beautiful and lunch...well, lunch was just the BEST. Jose and his crew made us feel welcome and kept us entertained the entire time. I can't say enough about this exursion, we have cruised many times before and we all agree this was the best excursion we have ever taken.

It was so nice to have a guide all to ourselves. The drive was short to Merida from Progreso and the guide made the time fly. The city itself was beautiful - modern in a sense as well as very old world feel too. The shopping was "rad" as my grand daughter put it. This really is a shoppers heaven with so much variety and excellent prices on everything. We did have refreshments but did not eat anything due to a late breakfast.
