    If the ship arrives late, do you wait for us?
    Yes. For cruise passengers, we will wait for the necessary time if there are delays with the docking procedures or clearance by the local authorities.
    Will they cancel this excursion if it rains? 
    This excursion takes place in the rainforest, it will operate rain or shine. We recommend bringing a raincoat during the rainy season which is from September to November. 
    How long does the riverboat ride take? 
    The river cruise is approximately 60 minutes. 
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Puerto Limon Highlights, Rainforest, City, River Cruise, Banana Plantation, and Shopping Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Puerto Limon Highlights, Rainforest, City, River Cruise, Banana Plantation, and Shopping Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 48 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

This was a great experience. Not only did we get to see the most of the highlights area the area but we also got to do the river cruise. We saw a lot of wild creatures along the way including the famous crocodiles and loads of birds. The banana plantation was great, people are very friendly. We also had the opportunity to shop for souvenirs during our tour, no need to spend extra time after that.

Loved the calm river cruise during this tour. We were able to see a lot of animals on our way. The rainforest was also great and the explanation of every stop was interesting. The shopping part was ok but the other parts were the best for me.

My husband and I had a wonderful time during our recent tour in Costa Rica. Puerto Limon is rich in nature, their wide Amazon, rivers, wild creatures, plants, etc. This tour was very informative and spotted a lot of animals on their natural habitat. We have seen the most highlights of Puerto Limon and was amazed at their people, very friendly and well knowledgable about animals, plants, and nature.
