      • The walking portion takes approximately one hour and the total distance covered is approximately one mile.
      • Guests must be able to walk over packed dirt, gravel, pavement, and a boardwalk. There are slight inclines and declines.
      • The restrooms are located near the gift shop.

      • We recommend wearing layers with the top layer being waterproof.

I've always admired nature and on this excursion I could observe (very respectfully) the natural habitat of different animals I have never seen before. Our guide is very professional and you could tell he truly loved his work. The eagles are magnificent and beautiful. One of the things that really struck me was the smell...it was just like a giant christmas tree lot! The last part of the excursion at the totem park was also but the stars were the eagles.

Just loved how we are able to interact with nature and see wildlife in their natural habitat. It was a life changing experience and no doubt will be visiting Alaska more often. One of the few places that allows you to be up close with so much nature. The raptor center is spectacular. This is where rescued eagles are treated for wildlife injuries. We also met with Wayne who is an Alaskan Native and creates impressive art with cedar log, not just totems!
