The meeting point for this Key West Jet Ski Shore Excursion is conveniently located at a short taxi ride from your cruise ship terminal. After checking in with the Jet Ski staff, your local operator will provide detailed instructions on how to operate the jet ski. Don't worry, you do not need previous experience as it is fairly simple and definitely lots of fun! You can either ride the jet ski solo or take a passenger with you (same price), the price is per jet ski, not per person.
Once you are all checked in and ready to go, you will follow your shore excursion guide out and the adventure begins. Your guide will take you around Key West Island to five or six different locations, and share some fun facts and history about the island.
The 28-mile jet ski excursion will take you to Key West Harbor, Southernmost Point, Florida Keys Wildlife Sanctuary, Boca Chica Sandbar, and a few other secret spots. You will even have a chance to stop at the local sandbar and take a dip in the water to refresh.
This is perfect for experienced jet skiers and beginners as well. If you are an adrenaline seeker, you might want to move toward the front of the pack and go full throttle with your guide. Or if you're looking to just cruise along and enjoy the scenery you can join the guide in the back. No matter how fast or how slow you want to go, everyone is sure to have a great time.
When your adventure excursion comes to an end, your guide will take you back to the meeting point. You may catch a taxi at your leisure and own expense when you are ready to return to your cruise ship.
Please note that all guests born after Jan 1st, 1988 who wish to operate a jet ski must arrive take the online course at home, and bring the printed Florida Boater Certificate. You can obtain your Temporary Boating Certificate. The cost is $8.99 for access to study material and unlimited exam attempts. Certificates are good for 90 days. A physical copy or your email certificate must be presented at check-in.
