    For the Costa Maya Certified 1 or 2-Tank SCUBA Dive Excursion, you will meet after a short shuttle ride from your cruise pier in Costa Maya/Mahahual. All details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.


    What is included?
    • English-speaking SCUBA Diving Excursion staff, guides, and dive masters/instructors.
    • Certified PADI dive shore excursion instructors.
    • Either one or two-tank SCUBA dive.
    • SCUBA dive gear rental is available on-site. The full set of diving equipment is $25.00 USD to be paid directly to the SCUBA excursion operator. Please make a note in customer comments when placing your shore excursion order.
    Excursion Notes
      • Please download and print the following PADI SCUBA Dive Medical Statement (PDF document) and complete it prior to participation. It is required that you bring this completed form and any other required notes or paperwork.
      • You must bring your current dive certification card with you (PADI or SSI).
      • We suggest you wear your swimsuit, bring a towel, sun protection, cash for the shuttle, tips, other purchases, etc.
      • Please pay attention to the restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if the requirements are not met.

    • This operator follows PADI rules and safety regulations about medical issues.
    • Minimum participation age is 10 years old.

    Either way, in case you need to rent dive gear please consider $25.00 USD for a full set of equipment and it has to be paid directly to the local shore excursion operator. 
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Costa Maya Certified SCUBA Diving Excursion from YaYa Beach Club - 1 or 2 Tank Dive Options to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Costa Maya Certified SCUBA Diving Excursion from YaYa Beach Club - 1 or 2 Tank Dive Options, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 48 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

Four of us booked the two tank dive while we were on a cruise. The dive crew at Dr Dive was incredible! They did all the normal stuff you get on a dive, set up our gear, etc. However, what sets them apart was not only the complete focus on safety before, during and after the dive was far and beyond what is required and was great! Our dive master (Charlie) was beyond amazing making sure BOTH dives were fun and see all we could. Beautiful diving! After the dive, they even washed our gear out a, set up the taxi and loaded our gear! Best customer service i have ever received on a dive! Take care of these folks! We will be going back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. From the very beginning, the communication was the guide was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable and he pointed out all kinds of interesting things to see. There were only 4 other people on the boat, it felt like we had paid for a private dive, even though we did not! Completely worth it!

The Dive shop is about 8 minutes away from port but it's a little tricky getting a taxi just get out of the port and they are right there at the gate. The dive shop is really nice and the help is exceptional. We are very experienced divers coming from South Florida and the dive trip was excellent by all standards. Our Dive master Lucas was excellent and they accommodated all dive levels sending those who burned air quicker up early so that we could enjoy a longer dive. Reefs are in great shape with lots of life highly recommend this Shop they are 5 stars all Day!!! Enjoy we will be back soon.

I visited in September 2019 with my wife who just got certified, so she was very nervous. Our dive master took her under his wing and calmed her anxieties, he even changed our dive location twice while on the boat, to locations that were shallower. Even though we were the only ones on the boat, he had no problems changing dive locations and seemed happy to do it. Thanks to the excellent service they exceeded our expectation and we will dive with them next time we visit Costa Maya.

I would recommend this 110%! We were late getting to this excursion and instead of refusing us, which they could have, the dive master and his crew went out of their way to take just my husband and I scuba diving. They were very helpful in making sure we had all of the equipment we needed and that it fit correctly. The water was very clear and we got to see sea turtles, lots of coral, lots of fish, such as tarpon, and lobsters. The dive master that was with us made sure we had a great time and that we were always safe and ok. Also the price was great for the amounted time in the water and for all the things we were able to see. When we book our cruise next year we are definitely using y’all for the excursions.

I can't say enough good things about this excursion, mainly due to the people at the (dive shop). Everyone involved in this excursion was extremely friendly and helpful, and the shop is very nice. There were only five people in our group, but we had two divemasters. This allowed the people who ran out of air earlier than others to go up safely while the others continued the dive. I would love to go back and dive with this shop again. The reefs around Costa Maya are also extremely beautiful and fun to dive. Any divers going to Costa Maya need to do this (excursion).

Dive Master Charlie was great very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Worked on his Birthday. Alex the boat driver was very competent and friendly. Sam at the desk was helpful and friendly. Dives were great, lots to see, both sites good, felt safe. I have dove for over 30 years and at least once every year in the caribbean and this was as good as any. Thanks guys for a great morning. easy to find from cruise ship and close.

We were very impressed with the beauty of this reef. Neither one of us had dove in the Caribbean before, this was extra special to us. There really is so much to see, that the time just flies. This dive will spoil you for sure. We used the equipment that was offered to us and it was top quality. We spent the rest of the day enjoying the beach. This was money very well spent. You will not be disappointed with this dive tour! Unfortunately, diving back in the lake at home just does not sound so fun anymore. We will be back!

We have been very lucky to have been able to dive in several beautiful places but this ranks among the best of all. I am so glad that we did this dive tour and we would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys diving. The reefs are pristine, virtually untouched and you couldn't ask for better dive masters and staff. The dive sites are very close by so the boat trip is short. I had brought my own gear on the cruise but they had very decent equipment for those who did not bring theirs. All good selling points. Well worth it!
