    For this Naples Shuttle to Mt. Vesuvius and Herculaneum Excursion, you will meet your friendly crew a short walk from your Naples Cruise Port to the terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your eticket.

    Excursion Notes
      • Entrance fee to Mt. Vesuvius National Park is not included, please consider an additional 10 Euros per person. This fee may vary slightly and is ONLY payable in Euros.
      • There is an option to pre-order the entrance ticket to Herculaneum. If you do not add it to your order form, you will need to wait in line upon arrival and purchase on-site. Entrance Ticket to Herculaneum can be exchanged at the PRIORITY TICKET OFFICE of Herculaneum at the entrance of the archeological site. If you have any questions, please ask your friendly staff where to go.
      • Please be advised this service is provided by reservation and your ticket IS NOT usable for a different time from the shown on your booking. You will choose your return time on the day of the excursion.
      • If you miss your shuttle back to Naples, there may or may NOT be space on another bus. This is a shuttle transportation service only and is not a guided excursion.
      • We suggest you have cash (Euros) on hand for the entrance fee, refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.
      • Sensible, rubber-soled walking shoes are highly recommended along with sun protection.
      • Please pay attention to restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if requirements are not met.
      • YOU WILL RECEIVE A VOUCHER IN A SEPARATE EMAIL. YOU MUST BRING A PRINTED COPY OF THE VOUCHER TO BOARD THE BUS. DO NOT GIVE THEM OUR ETICKET!
      • You must print and surrender a paper version of the voucher for this activity (showing your voucher on a smartphone is not accepted). No refund will be given to customers without a printed copy of their voucher.
    Excursion Restrictions
    • Minors 18 years and younger must present proof of identity; in the absence of a document, they will be charged at the adult rate.
    • This is not a wheelchair accessible excursion (wheelchairs, walkers, mobility scooters, strollers, etc.)
    • Guests must be able to step in and out of the transportation.
    • Guests must be able to walk on paved, gravel and cobblestone surfaces, some on inclines.
    • There are steps required to enter several of the sites as well as steep curbs in some areas.
    • Seating on the bus is on a first come basis.
    • Excursion tickets are only valid on City Sightseeing buses. Unused tickets or tickets presented to another operator are non-refundable.
    • It is the guest's responsibility to know their ships scheduled departure time and plan their day to be back on board at the appointed time.
    • Schedule times might change due to traffic or any other force majeure.

    This Naples Excursion operates rain or shine, within safety guidelines. The local cruise excursion operator will decide at the time of departure if there is a reason to postpone or cancel the excursion.
    What is the entrance fee to Mt. Vesuvius National Park?
    The entrance fee is 10 Euros per person. This fee may vary.
    Can I use US dollars?

    What should I wear to hike up Mount Vesuvius?
    We suggest comfortable clothing and dressing in layers, sturdy hiking or athletic shoes, sunscreen and a hat...especially in the summer months when temperatures can soar. A walking stick and a windbreaker can also be handy.
    Can I take photos and videos at Herculaneum?
    You can take photos and videos inside Herculaneum for private use and without a flash. The use of tripods must be approved by the park supervisor.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Naples Shuttle to Mt. Vesuvius and Herculaneum Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Naples Shuttle to Mt. Vesuvius and Herculaneum Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
