This great St. Kitts Sightseeing excursion is the most fun way to spend a day. Great sightseeing, island bar hopping, and some tasty rum samples.


You will start this day by meeting with your friendly guide just outside your St. Kitts cruise port, just a 5-minute walk away. Then, you will head directly to Cheers Bar to have your first rum tasting. You will learn a bit about the different types of rum as well as sampling.

Your air-conditioned transportation will take you for a scenic drive to your next stop at a local favorite, Tony's Bar and you'll try another rum sample. It's amazing just how many types of rum there are, and this is how you'll learn about the variations.

You'll then continue the drive to the Southern Peninsula of the island which has an amazing view. There you will also see the Governor's House, built, ironically, back in the days of prohibition, which on St. Kitts was also in 1934. It became the house of the archdiocese after Catholicism became a popular religion.

Your next bar hop rum tasting is at Lover's Bar for another great sample. You will also see the Carving Rocks, which are ancient and fascinating Carib Petroglyphs. These drawings show two of the original carvings drawn by the Caribs, the original indigenous people of the island, and perhaps depict images of their Zemi or gods. In addition to those, you'll take a drive by the Old Sugar Plantation. You'll see sugar cane fields and the plantation house itself that was built back in the 1700s.

Next, it is on to Timothy Hill where you will enjoy a breathtaking view of St. Kitts and the bay. Be sure to have your camera ready for these shots. Be thirsty too, because this is where you will toast the island while at the top of the mountain with the very special "Holy Ghost" Rum Punch. Keep in mind that there will be chips and fresh local bread provided during this rum runner's excursion.

Finally, on your way down the mountain, you will have one last stop at the famous Vibes Beach Bar located on the Frigate Bay Strip for one last sample of rum. Soak up the views, and see a whole other side of St. Kitts at the Vibes Beach Bar.

Finally, it will be time to return you to your St. Kitts cruise ship terminal having bar hopped around the island, seen and sampled, the best of St. Kitts.
