Enjoy both a fun and a relaxing day snorkel and beach shore excursion right here. Enjoy some beach time at a great private resort with all the amenities and then take the snorkeling excursion boat for a view of the world underneath the surface of the beautiful waters of Grand Turk Island. A great lunch is included too, along with a complimentary drink. So, come along join in for a day of gorgeous views, lots of activities, and plenty of ways to just kick back and relax.
This great Grand Turk Snorkel and Beach Excursion begins by taking a brief taxi ride from your Grand Turk cruise ship terminal to the resort about 15 minutes away. You'll be checked in by the friendly staff, schedule your snorkel time and lunch, and then just pick a spot on the beach. There are hammocks and loads of sun or shade.
This is not available as a walk-in sale. Space is very limited depending on the resort bookings. Note that we offer 3 packages at Bohio. Please book the one that suits you best as there cannot be any substitutions onsite from one package to another.
When your snorkeling excursion time arrives, you will go out to meet your boat at the water's edge. Enjoy the small group snorkel (for larger groups, please contact us). Your snorkeling destination is the famous Grand Turk Wall, just a few hundred yards from the beach. All gear is provided (mask, snorkel, fins and optional snorkel vest) and there will be plenty of room on the 26 ft. covered power boat. Your captain will hand out the snorkeling gear, give instructions to those who are new to the sport. Then you will hop in the water and the exploration begins.
You will have the option to stay on the shallow reef that is 20 ft. (6 m) deep, or head to the edge of the wall just yards away, which drops off to 7,000 ft (2 km). Be amazed at the colorful coral, the tropical fish that dart in and out of the reef. You'll see Parrot Fish, Colorful Groupers, Sergeant Fish, sponges, and maybe even a turtle, or a dolphin. Eagle Rays and Stingrays, both docile, could make an appearance too. No rush, you'll have an hour to enjoy the ever-changing world beneath you. And no worries either, the captain will be keeping a close eye on you the whole time. You will use a ladder to get back on board and can return whenever you wish within the hour.
When your Grand Turk snorkel shore excursion time comes to an end, you will head back to shore. Enjoy a complimentary drink (rum punch, local beer, juice or bottled water) along with a delicious seafood sampler with the freshest fish imaginable and side dishes with local ingredients. If you don't eat seafood, please let the staff know as soon as you arrive, chicken and other options might be available as well. Lunch will be served at a private table on the beach just for your group.
Stay at the beach as long as your cruise schedule allows you. Enjoy the lounge chairs out on the beach. The resort is open from 07:00 AM to 06:00 PM. There are other water sports as kayaks, paddleboards, and other activities available for rent on site. The beachside restaurant also has other menu items and beverages available to purchase.
Taxis are always available and you can return to your Grand Turk cruise ship pier at your leisure and expense (approx. cost of $8 per person).
