      • Please note that Belize is a cruise ship tender port, you will not be docked so you should allow enough time to get off the ship.
      • Guests are welcome to bring their own snorkel equipment.

    Is it safe to snorkel with rays and sharks on this Belize shore excursion?
    Yes, both species are docile and non-aggressive. Your guide will be with you in the water.
    How many will I see?
    As the rays and nurse sharks are not captive and are swimming in the wild, it is up to Mother Nature how many you will see.
    May I bring my smaller child?
    Yes there is no age limit and you know your child's ability in the water and are responsible for supervising them at all times. Snorkel gear for younger children is not available.
    What sizes are the boats...I would like to know how many people will be on the boat with me.
     A variety of boats are used with maximums ranging from 15 to 35 participants.
     How much time do we spend at Caye Caulker?
     You will spend about 30 minutes at Caye Caulker in case you want to order lunch, if not, the time will be less.
    How much is the lunch?
    The cost is $10 USD, please requested in advance while entering your booking or directly to the local vendor when meeting them.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Belize Coral Gardens and Shark Ray Alley Snorkel Adventure Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Belize Coral Gardens and Shark Ray Alley Snorkel Adventure Excursion,we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if:

    • You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
    • Your ship misses/skips the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
    • Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.

A great snorkeling shore excursion adventure at the Belize barrier reef's Coral Gardens, and visit the resident rays at Shark Ray Alley! You will definitely get a glimpse at the diverse marine life just feet below the Caribbean Sea!

Long boat ride to and from where you swim in the open waters to snorkel and swim with the Sharks and sting rays. Crew was so nice and kept everyone involved and safe.

Took a few minutes to get started, but the guides were worth the wait. Jose, mark, Daniel, and diana were quick to calm any anxiety regarding what we were doing. Only thing I can think of is that if you wear glasses and want to see wear a full face mask not just the goggles.or wear contacts. Dont be like me and go blind lol.

We had a great time!! The guides Mark, Moore and Daniel went above and beyond on the excursion. Mark was able to make a noise from the boat and a dolphin came to surface. We also got to stop at a fishing boat which was fishing for lobsters and crabs. We got to see and touch the live lobsters they had caught. In the ocean Mark and Moore snorkeled with us and showed us all kinds of ocean life. Then we swam to a different area and got to swim with the nurse sharks and stingrays! We got to see and swim with a lot of nurse sharks and stingrays. We had lunch at Caye Caulker Beach. The food was and service was good.

There was about a 10 - 15 minute walk after leaving the port to get to the meeting place. They did have someone meet us and take us on that walk. There were a bunch of different people going on different excursions. This caused a lot of confusion with all the guides. They took us on and off a boat trying to get it all squared away. Unfortunately, my mom at this point was too stressed to go on the excursion and wanted to go back to the ship. ( It also didn't help that she tripped and fell on the walk to the excursion and skinned her knee up pretty bad. The sidewalks and roads can be uneven. ) I found someone that worked there that was kind enough to make sure my mom got back to the ship safely. Once we got loaded onto the right boats everything was great after that. Be prepared for a long, sometimes rough boat ride to Caye Caulker, but it is beautiful and you get to go through the mangroves. Dennis was our captain and Natalie was our guide. They were great and very informative. The island is amazing and we stopped there first to pre order lunch at the restaurant. ( You have to pay for this, it's not included. ) We then got back on the boat and went to snorkel with the nurse sharks and rays. This was really fun! They come swimming up in this dark cloud from a distance and then you see them and it's so cool. These are not tiny nurse sharks either, they are large lol. After we finished at that spot, we got to go to another spot and snorkel through and around the reef. Natalie guided us along the way and pointed out fun things to see. Then we went back to the island to eat our lunch which was very, very good and fresh. I had beef fajitas and conch fritters. It was 40 american dollars for 3 dishes and 2 sodas and a water. I thought it was reasonable. Then we had time to shop at the shops or play at the beach which was great. We got back on the boat and went to another spot where you get to feed the Tarpons. They are these really neat huge fish that you get to feed. Just don't be stupid like me and stick your hand over the side to point one out lol because one jumped out of the water and chomped onto my hand. Had some teeth mark scratches but nothing crazy thank God lol. Then we had another 45 minute boat ride back. I definitely recommend this excursion but you should know it's a very long day. We had to be up at 6am in order to be off the ship as soon as we were able and then we didn't get back until about 45min. before the last boat tender to the ship which was about 3:45pm. Knowing all of this it is a great excursion and Natalie and Dennis were great.

This was more than what my son could of asked for. He was able to snorkel for the first time. Swim with sharks and take pictures of a sea turtle for his mom. He had a blast.

Was told we had to pre order our lunches before we went out. Which weren't even ready when we got back. The shark and sting rays are the best part. The other snorkel area was awful, it looked dead. It is also a 45 min boat ride each way 😐

What can I say about this trip, except that it was excellent, wish I could give it 20 stars! The snorkel sites we went to were breathtaking, Caye Caulker beach is the perfect little spot for lunch, and the staff made the entire trip even better! Garrett, Nelson and James were phenomenal!!!! Definitely recommend this trip!

This was an excellent excursion thanks to Nelson and his crew. Was met outside the port and walked a few blocks to the docks where they organized everyone with equipment and into groups. We were a group of about 11 guests. The boat ride is about 30 to 40 min, however it was great and Caye Caulker beautiful. We stopped at Godfrey's Seaside Grill for restroom break and to order food (optional) for after snorkeling. We went to swim with the Stingrays & Nurse Sharks and then to the coral garden. All was amazing and well organized. After we had some time at Caye Caulker to relax, eat or shop. Do bring something to cover up while on the ride back on the boat since it doesn't have any shade and by the return everyone has had a lot of sun. Nelson made sure we were back with plenty of time to get back to the ship and even had some time to shop. Thank you Shore Excursioneer for an excellent time.

Thanks to Nelson, Hulky (Dennis) and Daniel for a fantastic day! Best snorkeling you'll experience in the Caribbean. 30 minute boat ride (can be rough) is absolutely gorgeous...in the middle of nowhere, there's a house in the water! Then 2 stops to see Antler coral, Brain coral, Horse-eyed Jack and so much more..we saw Sea Turtles, too! Then we went to another spot to swim with Nurse Sharks and Rays...Unbelievable experience! After that we stopped to feed some Tarpon (a little extra excitement). Then they brought us to Caye Calker for the lunch we ordered before we went snorkeling. Fantastic little cantina with good fresh food! My adult daughter stayed on the boat because she doesn't like to snorkel and she had a great time, too! Best Excursion Of Our Trip!
